You must be too young to remember the old 60's show "The Time Tunnel". I think it was better than Quantum Leap. I'll also take Land of the Lost (the tv show) over QL.

Favorite time travel movie is Star Trek IV. Let's go back in time and save the whales!

Back to the Future - but only 1 & 3. I didn't care for #2 at all.

I really like The Time Machine (the original and the remake).

Somewhere in Time with Christopher Reeve was pretty good, if a tad bit cheesey.

Timecop! - It was one of the first action movies I ever went to see. I thought I wasn't going to like it since I wasn't into action. Boy was I wrong!

Demolition Man - I know it's not a time travel one since they're cryongenically frozen. But it always makes me think time travel

And yes I love all the Back to the Future ones. I think I watched them all back to back once. Awesome!

Groundhog Day. Sure, they don't get into a machine and streak off to a far-away date. The travel is subtle, and the humor is very cheeky. Love it.

Groundhog Day - great flick.
But for time travel, it doesn't get better than The Terminator ("He will NOT STOP!! He WILL kill her! It's what he does! IT'S ALL HE DOES!!!) and Terminator II ("Good morning Doctor Silverman... How's the knee?"). The third, not so much. The female terminator didn't do it for me.

I literally just watched that. I thought it was a nice take on the time-travel issue. Much less sensationalized than your typical Hollywood treatment of the subject.

It does have a unique tone. I've always liked it.

"Time Crimes" is another film that is not run-of-the-mill Hollywood schtick.

Frequency is an excellent movie. While no time travel actually takes place, it does involve people communicating with each other across time.

I would have to say my favorite one have to be the movie 'Time Changer' put out by 'Five & two Productions'. Very Biblically moral, wholesome, uplifting, funny in parts, great story line. Stars Gavin McCloud (Cap't Stubing-The love Boat, Murray-Mary tyler Moore), Hal Linden (Barney Miller) and a few other known names. Highly recommended for all to see.

What? No Kate and Leopold? Okay, it was a bit stupid, but I don't mind stupid when it comes with cute and sweet.

How about the TV movie The Love Letter? Same as above.

My favorite time travel TV series is Quantum Leap. I was a hardcore "Leaper" back in college.

Although time travel was the premise of the show, the real heart of the series had nothing to do with sci-fi. It was really about Scott Bakula as good-guy scientist Sam Beckett working hard to change history for the better of the people whose lives he leaped into every episode. Women though Bakula was a hunk, and guys like me loved his wisecracking sidekick Al ("Sam, this doesn't look good!").

I always thought it was hilarious whenever Sam leaped into the lives of women, and you'd see him in drag for the entire episode. But ironically, I believe the best dramatic episode of the entire series was when Sam leaped into a the life of a young woman who was a rape victim; the woman left the holding chamber to help Sam (in her body) testify against her perpetrator, who was acquitted. But Sam beat the daylights out of him afterward when the creep tried to rape her/him again. Stories like these were the reason why women loved Quantum Leap so much; he was the time-traveling knight in shining armor.

When they tried to shake things up the final season with the introduction of Alia, the "Evil Leaper", and her lust-driven demonic supervisor, the show went down the toilet.

Luckily, Bakula went on to more success as Jonathan Archer on Star Trek: Enterprise and Leap creator Don Belisario created more blockbuster series like NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles and JAG. He also was co-creator of The Rockford Files.

I also noticed that Scott Bakula co-stars with Ray Romano in a new show starting this month on TNT (not sure exactly when) called "Men of a Certain Age". It looks terrific!

Wow, way OT. Sorry.
