Earlier today, I logged in three times repetitively, and received the login successful screen. Things then loaded up, and I was still a guest.
Just 10 minutes ago (looked for this in the FAQs), the same thing happened. All these problems encountered while looking at the CCM screen. I switched over to Crosswalk sign-in page, and no problems.
Any reports on this besides me? Known glitch? Privacy issue possible?
Please advise.

See the Site Modification Problems thread. It's reported.
In the meantime, it seems like you can fix it by cleaning out your cookies, then closing and restarting your browser. If that doesn't work, make sure the "stay logged in" check box is checked when you sign in.

Thanks! Hey, some of these cookies are right out of the cookie factory! (crunch, munch, munch) ... and zero calories!
So I'm too heavy to login, eh?
Steps for logging in...
1. Leave your cookies at the door, and don't expect to see them when you come back. There's stray dogs, cats, and cartoon bodies victimized by avatar hunts (headless!) roaming around outside. Get in quick!

The problem is we should not have to leave our cookies at the door to be able to log into the forums. This is still an ongoing problem which is only solved by deleting the cookies. Even clicking the stay logged in button doesn't work. I get logged out after a period of inactivity and then have to delete the cookies again before logging back in.
I like to have a snack during my conversations.

I found that if you either close and reopen your browser, or open a new window seperately (not a new tab within the same session.) then logging in is ok.

That didn't work for me; however, thankfully the glitch seems to be finally fixed
