Thank you for putting a link to "Posts Since Last Visit" on the MyForums page at the bottom of the latest threads list.

yes, I like that also.

Tried doing a search to find where some of my favorite posters are posting, but that didn't work. Would love that back if possible. Otherwise, cannot find my buddies.

Look for their handle on the forums' main page in the list of members on line. Click on their handle and you can see their most recent posts.

Hi, is it possible to set the my subscriptions page where it only shows new subs that have been posted to? My forums only shows the last 10 or so and then after that when you click on my subcriptions, you have to wade through all of the threads that you are subscribed to.

Thank you for your help!

Mike

"I really miss the New Msgs feature. There's too much navigating back and forth with the "My Forums" feature. "

Uh-huh. I mentioned that - more than once, I think...

So, has anything from this list been done? Taking away the "notify me" box at the bottom of the reply screen is still top of my list....

Are you actually getting notifications when you leave that box checked?

I've turned off the option to get email in My Profile and I ignore the notify me and I don't get any emails...

BTW... you said in another thread that you were anti-avatars... you can turn that off in My Profile too....

Fritz --- would it be possible for you to compile a list of things that will be worked on from this thread? Thanks

Forum subscription preference
Notify me whenever a message is posted
Notify me only when a new topic is posted

Thread subscription preference
Notify me whenever a message is posted
Notify me once per thread until I visit the thread again
Notify me once per thread until I visit the thread again or until I visit the board the next time

Am I just not seeing something? I have notify me whenver a message is posted marked, that will do the My Forums yellow thingy, right?

The thread subscription thing I don't really understand, but I have notify me whenver a message is posted.

/sigh

I just want "new messages," and to go from one to the next one...

I would assume, the emails I got were because I forgot to uncheck the "notify me" box?

As far as I know, I didn't sign up anywhere to receive emails when new posts are made...

go to your "My Subscription" page. If the second column is checked you have signed up to receive e-mails.

I wish that there were two doctrine folders—Catholic Doctrine, and Christian Doctrine.

Not that I want to distinguish between the two: making Catholic not Christian; but because the doctrine folder is so dominated by the Catholic doctrine issues. It is getting more and more difficult to find the non-Catholic doctrine topics.

Wouldn’t this also make it easier for the moderators to contain all Catholic doctrine discussions?

I've noticed that there is a lot more scrolling in general to navigate this site. Its not that quick to scroll on my laptop- I'd like for the main navigation bar to also be at the bottom of the screen, and for the main forums list to require less scrolling to get where I'm going.

Perhaps it's just everything that is going on in the Roman Catholic church at the moment? Added to the fact this is a new forums and when more threads are started it will appear less one sided...

Question: if there were only one or 2 Catholic doctrine threads in the doctrine folder would Catholics and members who post in the Catholic doctrine folder be asking for a Catholic doctrine folder?

" I've noticed that there is a lot more scrolling in general to navigate this site. "

Yep.

Also, is there going to be something done about the time limit between postings? It's a bit frustrating to type something out, only to be told I can't post it (yet).

Re: scrolling

if you have a lot to scroll through to get to the top, ctrl+home will take you to the top of the page in one keystroke.

Just plain "HOME" does that for me.

And the little up arrow on the bottom right of each post takes you to the top of the page.

Well, I figured out the subscripton thingy, so that I can see the abbreviated list of what I'm subscribed to, but I, as do many others, still prefer the old way - so much quicker to have somewhere to click (ie, "New Topics") than have to go back and back to My Forums...
