I'm back on my home computer, still can't get in through CCM. Weird. Still getting the "runtime error" page when I use the bookmark at CCM.

I've had intermittent problems with the smilies not working. One time they work and another time when I click on them they won't. Any suggestions?

Server Error in '/' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

sometimes it and the color box freeze up on me...I just close it and try to open it again. The most it has taken is three times for it to come up.

Both last night at home and here at work about half the time when a new page is loaded the adds on the right hand side do not load and there is a big box in its place that squeezes the rest of the screen to about 1/4 its usual width over on the left. If I hit reload it clears up.

Both systems are XP, at home I use the christianity.com port and at work i use the FCN port.

I have no idea what you mean by a green V.

Do you have pop-ups blocked?

Edited to add: Oh! You're talking about the permissions at the bottom of the page!

Go to the list of threads in whichever folder/forum you want. At the top of the list is an icon, "New Post." Click on that to start a new thread.

Still happening today.

Noticed the ads on the right are just big blank boxes when it happens.

Still happening.

Did not notice it yesterday using IE. Today I am on Netscape 7 and at home I use the current version of Firefox.

I think I may have mentioned this to a moderator before, but I'll post it here.

There is a little bug on the Singing News forums. If you make changes to the profile and click "OK," it doesn't take. I did find a workaround by clicking "Apply," then "OK." But it still is a little confusing.

Daniel, I always have to use Apply. Others use Ok, I know Fritz does. I have no idea why it is so.

If you click apply you do not then have to click ok. I never have.

I always use "apply" also. I think I remember Fritz saying that "apply" was necessary before clicking "OK"

Daniel, I use FCN, and I've always clicked Apply first, then OK when making changes to the profile. Didn't know there was supposed to any other way.

I do it like Kath does: click "apply" (without then clicking "ok").

yup...me too...click Apply, then that's it. (I've done that with three of the portals...CW, FCN, and youth worker journal)

On Saturday night and all day yesterday when Singing News was off line I logged into Faith Community Netwerk to get into the Singing News forums. I was able to get on line and do some posting, but I could never get into the Recent Concert You Have Attended or the Games & Humor threads and do any posting. I tried several time to no avail. Why did this happen? Should I not have been able to post?

Hi! I'm back after a LONG hiatus...I received a rather lengthy private message--I tried to respond...ok, ok--it WAS a wordy response...but no where near any 4900 limit! -------

Disregard post....figured out my misunderstanding...it's a character limit, not word limit.
