Still money. I remain unemployed and I'm running out very quickly. Unless something changes, I will not be able to pay next month's rent. I'm also curious about why God is now granting requests from five years ago when they aren't doing me any good right now. For that matter, why is God leaving me in abject misery?

My sister is also unemployed, has broken her ankle, and there's something wrong with her other knee. She needs prayer, too.

I said a prayer for you and your sister. The saying "God works in mysterious ways" is very true. We don't often understand why God does what He does when He does it. But look at the fact that he is granting you requests from five years ago. IMHO, it means that He hasn't forgotten and does keep His promises. The requests might not be doing you any good right now, but are there things that you can learn from what is happening? I don't know your situation, but I find that I can always learn from something that happens in my life.

I have a prayer request. I am in the process of moving things from my parents' house in central Nebraska to my new apartment in south eastern Nebraska. While my dad was driving my car (after I had picked up the U-Haul truck), he told me that the check engine light had come on. I had an oil change not that long ago, and everything was just fine then. I'm hoping and that it's just a senor problem, or the internal computer decided to let me know that I need a tune-up. I am hoping and praying that there's nothing wrong with my car. Also, I have driven large vehicles before, but it's been a while. So, prayers that God will help me drive the 17 ft. truck safely. Thanks!

I need wisdom...lots of wisdom.

And...I battled anorexia (a bit) in high school. Though I'm now YEARS older, I'm having issues with weight again... Don't know why it is hitting me all of the sudden, but I'm down to a low weight again. And I like it...which isn't good. Not horrible, but I'm seeing it continue to decline. Pray that I can get the "lose just 5 more pounds" out of my mind.

I'm cheating. I have 2 requests. One is sparked by flirtnNconvertn's post. I have an eating disorder too that I'd really love to be without.

Second one, my best friend in New Zealand is coming over to Sydney, on the opposite side of the country from me. I've been offered to go and spend a week with them whilst they are here. I don't have the finances, but would dearly love to see her. We've been friends for 32-33 years and I haven't seen her in 13 years. Don't know if God wants me to go. She and her family are not Christians. I've never been to Sydney, other than between the domestic and international airports. At the same time as wanting to go, I can see all the negatives, including a whole pile of bills coming in. The trip, if it happens will be at the beginning of April. I'm on a disability pension, so I don't have a huge income to draw from.

Prayer would be very much appreciated on both requests.

I am currently failing all but one of my classes this semester. I am really tired and am ready for this semester to be over (it just started last month). I have been taking classes continuously since last May.

As many probably are already aware, I have had health problems for a long time (and no one but God knows what the cause is). One of my worst problems at present is not being able to stay hydrated, especially at night. No matter how much fluids I drink, I still wake up dehydrated to the point of severe pain and other problems. For a while an electrolyte drink was helping, but it's not working anymore and I'm back to not sleeping well. It really effects my entire day. Please pray that God's healing for me is soon.

(And please no suggestions on what to do. I'm sick of uninformed guesses, because that's all I've gotten for more than a decade, even from doctors who did tests and couldn't figure things out.)

Cherish405 - I'm praying for your eating disorder (give up control) and for God to lead you in His direction concerning your friends in New Zealand. Just remember that you are a light.

Inspired30 - I pray that you feel rested, energized, and motivated to do what you know you have to do and what you know you CAN do.

Figment - I've never heard of such a thing! Sounds very painful, scary and just down right anoying! I pray you get your healing soon!

My longtime boss retired earlier this month, and I have assumed some new responsibilities in addition to the ones I already had. The powers that be decided to have three people do the work of four in an office that has grown significantly over the past year. The transition is proceeding a lot less smoothly than I had hoped, and I've run into some trouble with the new boss and with a major piece of office equipment that is now in my sphere of responsibility. I would appreciate prayer as I'm really having a rough time at work these days.

I'm house hunting and not finding a house I think God wants for me at this time in my life. There's no peace, other than I know I should be looking for (and buying) a house. I am pre-approved for a loan, so money is not really the issue. Please pray that I move out of God's way. I sense HE wants the glory in this, so I'm somehow expecting much more house than I should be able to purchase for my money.

Greetings

I want to thank God for everything in my life, Good and Bad, but I would most importantly want to pray more often, I feel like I have been drifting away from him. I am actually struggling within myself I truly want to be more God Centered. But it is difficult.

Thank you

Livy

I hate to share my troubles on here where I should be a joyful christian, but I am in anxiety about going to court on Tuesday with my mom regarding staying in the apartment or giving us extra days to find a place. As far as finding a place goes, it is hard and it is tiredsome because right now no one seems to want you because of the person you live with, even though you were not on the lease at the time, but it seems like I'm falling into discouragment. No family members don't want to let me stay with them because we do not have really a close-knit family and they rather want you in the streets anyways. I'm trying to work, want to further my education and get a better postion, but when I try to better myself, it is like something comes up again and it is two steps backwards. I never done anything wrong in this life, I am trying to become a better believer, yet it seems like sometimes I'm paying for the past mistakes and God will never hand you anything, even a future mate. I mentioned this issue in the prayer and praise thread also.

I'm trying to smile through this and being brave, but inside, I'm trying not to be anxious for nothing, which the scriptures says, but it seems like I should be doing better, not failing amd I know God is disapointed in me.

Anyways, I'm trying to be transparent about this and keep me in your prayers.

Praying for everyone on this page right now. I'm only going to make three comments and then leave this alone.

1.) I know three people currently or formerly battling anorexia IRL right now. It nearly killed one of them. It is seriously hurting the other two in very spiritual, emotional, relational, and mental ways. Because of this, I ask that you please get help. Regardless of how you feel towards anyone, anything, doctors, nurses, therapists -- get help. You know better than I do in some ways, but sometimes you might not want to, and you have to choose to do something. I just ask and beg that get help. One of the people who had it is a friend, and the others are people that are becoming friends. That is why I make this small request.

2.) I'm praying for all of you. God promised us abundant life... sometimes the abundant part of it is in ways we don't like. Wherever you are, God can make a way. Continue to pray that He will. Jericho fell on the 7th time around. So don't stop on the 6th time.

3.) All of your frankfulness and humbling of yourselves to ask for prayer is something that I'm sure God enjoys seeing. That we would get rid of pride to ask for help from others and of God is a blessing to Him I'm sure. The more we please God, the closer we are to Him. Simply asking for prayer can be that first step to getting closer.

As I've already posted in another thread, I've got a lot on my plate. I won't get into it here, but I just need what I usually ask for which is wisdom, discernment, energy (zzz.....), somebody to have and to hold, and to hear God's voice and know His leading. I'm leading Bible study tonight, so I sort of need it more so today.

Be blessed, be loved, and be lifted up. I choose to intercede on your behalf to Christ, who intercedes on our behalf to the Father. God is your strength, your shield, your provider, your advocate, your friend, your lover, your father, your very present help in time of need. He is everything and more than we could ever ask for.

I need prayer about this weekend. It could be a good weekend or a yucky weekend. (Yes, this is vague, but God knows what I'm talking about.)
