please pray as i reach my 3-month mark on my temp job next week. now the door is open to be hired-on permanently. but there's been a lot of stress in the office the last couple weeks...and i'm really struggling with fears that i'm going to be without a job....again!
financial insecurity is probably my biggest fear. pray i hold tight to my faith that God wants the best for me...and He knows exactly what that is. i don't have to know...i just have to trust Him.

And keep me in prayer... I applied for a new job this week. I don't quite fit the criteria, but I didn't fit the criteria for the job I have now and still got it. Well, this new job sounds exactly like the job I have now, only it pays a LOT more. I'm really feeling the need for a change, though this job will mean a big change... a move to a new town two hours away.

I have a very deep and painful issue that I've never really dealt with directly. I know that when I start to deal with it, I will have some very difficult emotional days - and because in the past I've had to struggle with depression - it is going to be very hard. I won't be able to share any of this with my closest confidant because it would ruin her relationship with someone she cares very deeply for.
I've been feeling like God is calling me to deal with it - but I don't want to open a can of worms. I've started to identify other places where I can get support beforehand because I'll definitely need it. But on the other hand - I feel like this is the last major part of my own personal healing - and that once this is addressed - there will be a huge breakthrough - and that it will be life-changing.
So, I feel like now is probably the time, but I am also afraid. I'd appreciate prayers about this please. Thanks!

M's second cousin is about 21 and may have stomach cancer. He goes for testing today and tomorrow. He's somewhat mentally handicapped (but living sort of on his own)

If you could pray for my sister. She has been having marital issues. On top of it all they believe Little Man may have autism. He is having some trouble with school too, so they just don't know what to do. Plus the lady that usually watches them said she couldn't handle him anymore.
Also a personal issue that needs prayer for God's guidance.

Thanks for all the prayers about hurricane Ike! My family got power back on Friday, but I'm only now getting around to posting again.
Praise God, we didn't suffer any major damage from the storm (possibly a few shingles torn off). However, we had a very close call. Two large trees fell in our yard, missing my sister's bedroom by just a few feet. Thank you LORD for keeping my sister safe.
God has given us so many things in the aftermath of the storm. The coolest and nicest weather we've had all summer, a nice bright moon for a nightlight, and many other provisions both large and small. Keep praying for all those effected by the storm, as there are still many without power and safe water (maybe without running water at all).
Also, pray for my mom. Today she is up at a church camp about 45 minutes north of here (Camp Cho-Yeh) where 650+ of the power line repair crews are being housed. Pray that she's safe during her drive home, and also pray for all those volunteers who are working to feed the workers and keep the camp clean (and fix the damage done to the camp by the storm).

I found some information online last night that was very helpful. I read just a little bit at the time and am trying to go slowly - a little bit each day - not too much at any one time. Healing will come in its time. I appreciate all of your prayers!

My friend's ex wife took off with their child and he has no clue where they are. I'm not sure of the custody situation but this is very hard on him so please keep them all in your prayers.

Hey, guys. Two of my co-workers need prayer. This afternoon as we were coming back from lunch, we were rear-ended. There wasn't much damage, but one co-worker went straight to the hospital -- she's had a lot of back problems in the past and is not in the best health, so they took her straight to the hospital. My other co-worker, the driver, is one to minimize her pain. She did not accept help at the accident scene, but said she will go to the hospital tonight. I'm trying to get ahold of her to make sure she goes. My other co-worker and I are fine, but my neck is a little sore, so I can't sit at the computer very long.

Update: My one co-worker got home from the hospital a little bit ago and she checked out fine, but she'll be sore for a few days. I asked if she'll need physical therapy, and they said they don't know yet. She's to take the rest of the week off work. The other co-worker is at the hospital now getting checked.

I have a quick prayer request (a selfish one) ... I was bit by a brown recluse (4 times!) on my leg ... fortunately the venom didn't spread as far as some I have seen, but it is pretty nasty. Just pray for supernatural healing ... so much for my pretty legs!

Karen I am so sorry.....thankfully you caught it in time.......my sister was in the hospital for 2 weeks with 3 bites.......I visited her every day and watched what she went through.........I will be praying for you.....

Oh my. I'm praying! That's not selfish at all... those bites are quite painful from what I've been told. I'm glad the venom hasn't spread, though.

I'm still feeling the headache of yesterday - thankfully, though, not as bad. Pray it fully goes away.
Also, for clear direction and wisdom with some decisions I need to make in the coming weeks and months.
