Please pray that both mom's and Lily's doctors will figure out what is going on and can fix it. I am still shaking.
I know that is devastating for all involved. Praying.

I just found out one of my aunts fell this morning and broke her hip. My uncle is not able to stay alone due to his health and on top of that one of their daughters also fell over the weekend and broke her nose and jaw.

Sorry, I haven't been around much since this post. Here's an update. Regarding my daughter, the doc is in "watch" mode. They said if it got bigger or became sore, they'd have to take it out. So I guess, according to dd, that this is not really an issue for her anymore? At least she's not concerned about it anymore.
On the job front...I still desperately need one. The one interview went very well. I went to the appt with the recuiter, and the senior recruiter came in to get me. I didn't end up having to take the other 2 tests because she said she didn't need them. I sent the typical thank you email and she responded that with my strong computer skills and experience, I'd be an asset to any department there. Pretty strong email, dontcha think? She wanted me to call that Friday to see if the background was finished. I called, she didn't have it back yet. I emailed her that Monday and she wasn't in the office. Said she'd check when she got back in the office and keep me posted. Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything since then.
Meanwhile, the guy I was talking to about a job, I don't think that's the direction I need to go. I just don't have a good feeling about it.
So, please, keep me in your prayers for a job and financial provision. Also, for my youngest dd's continued healing in her arm. (And her behavior, which has been less than stellar, shall we say?!) TIA
Edited to add that when I just now checked my email, I had one from the university temp service about a potential PT opportunity. PT is not exactly what I'm looking for (nor is the location), but it's better than nothing and it may get me in the door for a better opportunity.

Praying, tlims! I know it's been a very long battle for you but God will see you through to the end. He won't leave you in the middle of it alone. I'm praying that He will orchestrate everything as it needs to be and that He would continue to give you the strength and wisdom and comfort that you need. And I agree with you in prayer for the breakthroughs and also that Truth will stand.
Very sorry to hear you have such a heavy heart today Kimberly. I know I'm seeing this as the day is coming to a close but I still lift you in prayer. I pray you would sense God's presence and that as the day comes to an end that you would feel peace and that tonight He would give you peaceful rest.
And lifting this little baby and her mother up in prayer. I'm sure that had to have been very of scary for you Psalms and I'm glad God helped you through that and got the medical help the baby needed. I will continue to lift them both in prayer that God would strengthen their bodies and help guide the doctors in what the problems are so that they can be treated appropriately.

Praying for your aunt and her family, Craig. I pray there would be someone who could step in and help them out during this time of recovery.
And I do agree with you Bridgitt in prayer that you would be able to get out of debt. It's very freeing!
Glad to hear things are looking a bit more up for your daughter, Susan. And I will continue to lift you up in prayer concerning the job. I know the job search can be very frustrating but I know God will open the right door for you at the right time. It can be painful to learn to walk by faith and not by sight but He always provides in one way or another. I pray your heart would feel that confidence even now.

thank-you, veronica. the prayers of my friends really helped me thru today. like you said....it could be a long evening. i just continue to pray...and i have a PRAISE! i finally decided on a new Bible...so i have something to keep my mind (and my heart) occupied tonight. (watch my PFY for updates as i begin to delve into it.)
craig......praying for your family. i know God will provide the best possible caretaker(s). i also pray for a quick recovery as God's healing hand is upon your aunt and cousin. i also pray for comfort for you uncle....i'm sure he's worried and may feel like a 'burden' during this time. may God cover them (and you) all with a bounty of love and peace.
bridgitt....what a great request!! (and it's one i share. heck...who doesn't? lol) i pray God will bless you with abundance, wisdom & discipline in spending and budgeting, and cooperation from creditors.
susan...i know how frustrating...and scary...it is to be searching for a job this long. but i just KNOW God has something wonderful in store for you!! but how stressful for you, the mama, to have these worries for yourself...and be concerned about your daughter's recovery. may God just wrap His arms around you as you walk down this road.

Please pray...
I just received a cryptic text from my daughter in KY which has all of us concerned and nervous about things between them. Also, it seems that my seeking prayer and advice here on their situation may have offended The Beau.
Thanks. My goal is to remain calm and not let this dictate my emotions to day until I can find out the reason for all this. I need to learn to trust God more, and this is a test. I want to pass this time.

Hey gang - please be praying for me this afternoon. I am applying for a substitute teaching position with my county, and I need to go to the school board for a few things. I really feel teaching is what God is calling me to do - so I just want to make sure I'm fully following His guidance in this matter.

I am praying for each request that has been posted.
I come in here with a very sad heart. If you remember a couple weeks ago I requested prayer for my grandpa who was hospitalized and was in a phenobarbitol coma that was brought on by a medication they gave him due to an accident he had. Well, he has just committed suicide. Please keep my family in prayer. Thank you.

Lord, i lift my friend esther up to You. she has such a beautiful heart, Father. You know what was in her heart; You know it was not her intention to hurt those she loves. give her peace as she struggles with her feelings of regret. we trust You to bring resolution and forgiveness into this situaiton. and we praise You in advance, for the healing You will bring about.
Lord, i also pray for my friend veronica, and her family. You know her heart is full of grief tonight. wrap Your arms around her and give her even a small sense of comfort . remind her that You have known the pain of loss....and You are waiting for her to seek You out in this time of great sorrow. again, we praise You for being able to absorb all of our pain...and so much more.

Praying for all those spoken and unspoken requests today....
Just asking for prayers that my headache goes away. I know it pales in comparison with other requests but this is just a frustrating thing to have a headache almost constantly...

I would like to add prayer for the family of one or our dearest most faithful volunteers who would come in every Thursday morning on his walker and duplicate our services on CDs and DVDs. He died Monday night of congestive heart failure. Also, pray that his children make the final decisions that come with funeral arrangements soon so that we can have a beautiful coronation service for him hopefully this Friday morning during the senior adult chapel. I am going to miss this old chap that would razz me about my single life.

I know I was staying away (and I am), but I am in desperate need of prayer. My ENTIRE folder of work - 2 1/2 years worth - was deleted last night - because the one person was told to "clean up the files" - yet, someone who has NOT worked here in over 2 years - her folder still remains.
I am beyond upset - please pray that my documents can be retrieved, and that my attitude doesn't get bad, because right now - I'm fuming! I am part of this department, and this feels like a very personal attack on me.

The folder has been restored; the person who did it "apologized"; she is only getting a verbal reprimand.

praying lisa.....either God has a reason for this 'delay'...or He will correct the problem at just the right time.
(deep breath, gf! lol i'd be beyond angry, too!)

Golly ... so many requests ... I am praying for each of you, I know that God is hearing every word and taking care of each as if it His only priority.
I wanted to give an update on my earlier request. Sara, (Mom) is going home today or tomorrow. She is still a little short of breath when she moves around, but they do not believe she has any heart damage ... the diuretics pulled out most of the fluid and she looks much better.
Lily Ann, the newborn is going home with a monitor that will go off if she stops breathing longer than 20 seconds. Dad has been taught infant CPR and mom will also learn it ... and both have clear instructions on what to do should it happen again. I am so grateful for the monitor ... they will both now be able to sleep at night while Lily sleeps.

I haven't posted in Singles for quite some time, but for those who remember me:
My older sister died yesterday. Today would have been her 32nd birthday. She's celebrating in heaven instead of on earth.
She was diagnosed with cancer (Hodgkin's Lymphoma) about 7 years ago or so. She was cancer free, but the complications of recovery were just too much for her. She went into the hospital just over a week ago with pneumonia, and was sedated most of the time since then. Her heart gave out from a staph infection. Our entire immediate family was there (dad, mom, both sisters and me), as well as our pastor and several members of our church family. My sister was a strong Christian, and was a witness for God until the very end.
My sister briefly posted on these forums a couple years ago, but I don't remember her screenname (something with purple or butterfly, most likely).
Please keep my family in your prayers.
