praying all.
Continuing S4L's request for central Indiana. This is the worst flood we've ever had (1913 was the old record). Lots of people and towns wiped out.

I want to say that even though I don't post in here often, I do read the requests and pray for each one.
I have 2 requests today.
The first is for a sales rep I work with at a place I buy from for my business. His mom is in pretty bad shape and close to dying. Please keep him and his family in prayer, his name is Gary.
The second request is for me. I have been battling a headache all day so far and it's not going away.

I have a couple today, too.
My friend Greg continues a 4 year battle with severe Ulcerative Colitis. The doctors have exhausted every medication and they cannot wean him off Prednisone. Please remember him.
Also, please pray for me. I've got some serious spiritual warfare going on in my life right now. The enemy is barading me with all sorts of negativity about myself, my appearance, and the promise God gave me. I am fighting just feeling like a fat, ugly, loser!!!

For anyone who hasn't heard yet, a tornado touched down in a boy scout camp about an hour northwest Omaha. Last I heard, roughly 10 people injured and at least 4 confirmed dead. This is a heavily wooded area with lots of rain still moving in. All of that is going to hamper rescue efforts. Please keep this kids, the staff, resuers and their friends and family in your prayers. Because of the rustic nature of the camp, appearently the whole place was demolished.

(edited to add) And, my fiance' just told me that there was a possible tornade not too far west of Syracuse, where I now live. (I'm up in Fremont at my parents house.)

Craig - hope your headache stopped.
If you would be so kind - I have two interviews this morning. One is at 8:15am and the other is at 9am - the first one is at a place I'd love to work, providing the money is okay. The 2nd one is with my agency - just to get all my information updated with them.

Ok, folks:
After the lovely weekend at the GT, and I reported that my dd was doing so well...
I just heard from her tonight. Looks like she's going to have to quit the cushy job. It was working out fine until she had a confrontation with the children she is nannying...and the mother took the kid's word over hers. Accused her of lying.
Now she's basically out of a job. They haven't fired her, but she's going to try to find another job very quickly and quit before they CAN fire her.
My dd doesn't lie. It really hurts to be accused of something you didn't do.
And now she is virtually out of a job with no prospects, 1200 miles from home.
Please pray.

Hello dear friends! I really need you guys to pray for me. I have a VERY difficult, life changing decision to make. If you could please keep me in your prayers. I have the feeling God is leading me. I'm going to add my request to the list.
I have a desire to work with a particular group (remaining nameless at this time). There are several opportunities with this group. Please pray for God's favor in opening the right doors - IF this is what He wants for me. I only want to have the right job. I'm fine now - working Hospice and doing Temp work through my agency as I look at starting school earlier than expected.
God is SO good! This new opportunity appears to be perfect for the direction my life seems to be taking.
Also, I'm praying for those issues listed and not listed.

okay ... i posted this last week about my coworker's husband having liver surgery and all went well thank you everyone for praying and thank you God for having the surgery go a lot better than expected ... new request: he's still in hospital recovering ... but would come home soon (by Father's Day would be nice for the kids)

Hi, guys. A little bit of an update on my job search and a couple more requests:
I had a phone interview Monday that went very well. I got an email with a link for some online assessments a few days later, which have been completed. Evidently the hiring manager is very eager to get the results based on my resume and phone interview. Hopefully I'll get an in-person interview with them next week.
I got a call today from a recruiter that saw my resume. I have an appointment with them on Monday at 11:30. Unfortunately I have to drive downtown to their office, but they also have jobs in my target area. I also completed online testing with them as well, except for the typing test, which I will take Monday. (I don't have a "regular" keyboard - just this laptop, and laptop keyboards slow me down.)
Also, a close friend of mine had surgery Tuesday - she had a hysterectomy and bladder surgery (2 surgeries in 1). She's doing okay now, just in a lot of pain. She'll be out of work (unpaid) for 8 weeks. As it turns out, she had cervical cancer to boot, but they got it all out. She's also been having difficulty with some people at her job.
I also have an unspoken request for a situation that should get resolved on or before the 23rd (I hope). Please pray God's hand in this situation and that His angels will guard over me and the truth will be revealed to all involved. This has been one heck of a spiritual battle (on a few fronts) for the last 3 years!! I've seen God's hand in this and He has protected me, and I pray for His continued protection and guidance.
