uhhh...well....

no

I see so you sound just a bit hesitant, like, you think you probably would refuse, but you might...just.. consider it?

Is "no" a foreign concept to you or something? Do we need to show you a dictionary?

What am I missing here?

Hey I'm in Canada and I guess Websters isn't a common up here.

Ah I see, so:

If you liked a design that was faith related, and your husband (he wanted one also, didn't he) and your already tattooed daughter went to the parlor with you and offered to pay for yours AND the tattooist wasn't Canadian, you would always still say no?

Ok....

I remember 40...
I've pushed 50...
We have 5 kids & 6 grandbabies... ... (and yes, it looks oriental or asian or maybe polonesian!)
I remember .29 cent cheeseburgers at the Golden Arches
My first car was a Volkswagon station wagon... light blue... (don't remember much else about it except that's how I learned to drive a clutch!)
I was a part of the hippie's... but couldn't get behind being a 'dirty' hippy (no bathing and communes just creeps me out .)
I listened to Pink Floyd
(do you remember those little candy dot things on paper) I remember those.
Do you remember 50/50 bars?
And those little wax bottles with sommething toxic in them?
And what about Fizzies... does anyone remember Fizzies?????
(passed about 40 pages of posts... )

Now I'm at tatoos and pink flamingos.. and yes... I have one... from years ago... no big deal.

My son carried with him for a year, a picture of a silouette of Jesus with a crown of thorns and a drop of blood. This was what he wanted for his first tatoo when he turned 18. He's 28 now and never regreted thinking through what his first tatoo would be.

Sooo... did I qualify for posting here? I have a ton more on my resume if needed.

Blessings...
Pastor Debi

Was your mom mad at you when you got your tattoo?

And were you mad at your son at first when he got his?

Take care.

How do you know I wasn't talking about the Pink Flamingo?

Fine ... she never knew!
And no... I told my son he need to wait til he was 18.... and he did. That's why he carried it (the picture) around for a year!

God bless...

Sounds like you didn't really object / dislike it, anyway when he got it.

Ohhh... I loved Eddy Arnold.

You have to wonder, who will be "the greats" for this new generation?

Please don't say Brittney

I saw a thread a while back to discuss the great music of the 80s. I thought, "There wasn't any good music in the 80s and scant little in the mid to late 70s."

Although, I guess if I were forced listen to 24 non-stop hours of Disco or Hip Hop, I'd definitely go with Disco... But that's a lot like some political choices available this year. Presidential elections haven't been worth any excitement since Reagan/Carter in 1980...

Am I rambling? I think I'm rambling!

Cool.

I think rambling is allowed... we've certainly earned the right!

Yeah... the elections... hmmmm. Pretty darn scary if you ask me. Oh wait... is this mixing church and state ? I certainly don't want to upset anyone.

Music is safer. I love all kinds of music... rock, Christian, jazz, blues, country... heck I'll even listen to cajun. Can't understand a lick of what they're saying... but I like the beat! (Did I spell cajun right?)

...and when my skin starts sagging even more...

I didn't even think about that. If I'd had an eagle tattoo put on when I was 18, it'd look like a heat-striken turkey by now.

Are you kidding, of COURSE I've thought about that...

mirror mirror on the wall
who's that idiot down the hall
...you know the one with a rose tattoo that has a never ending stem...

I'm soooo vain

Only read the last few pages of this thread . . . just wanted to pop in and tell Connie and Jimbo how much I appreciate their senses of humor.

Should I admit I still listen to some Pink Floyd? I also listen to Eddy Arnold. Cattle Call might be my favorite.

Sad to hear he's gone. What a class act.
