This is a copy of the post from the casting call thread. Per request, I am throwing some neurons into the singles show. Who am I? I am K from the K Continuum. I am like Q, but more ethical and we serve God. The K continuum actually likes humans, has an affinity for the Federation, and prefers gifts of dark chocolate. K is "almost" as all powerful as Q, except they cannot force others to do their will. They can project hallucinations onto others to influence them but they cannot directly control them. Members of K are all humanoid, physical beings, but eternal. They do not know death, but they can be obliterated physically, only to be resurrected some time later in some pseudo-random part of the universe. So K shows up at various times to "set things straight", at least from their slightly arrogant perspective. And in general typically stir things up and allow everyone else to deal with the consequences. I am K, hear my type.

We seem to be getting into the weird, which could work well, or send us off into a deep hole no one will be able to dig us out of. Has anyone read any of Peter David's books New Frontier?

He took a character from one of his previous Star Trek Novels, "A Rock and a Hardplace", Commander Shelby from "The Best of Both Worlds" Pts I & II and put them and some new characters on a refurbished Constellation class star ship and wrote about eight or ten books about them, then blew up the ship.

THAT'S HORRIBLE!!!!! I bet that was quite the letdown for any fans he had developed thru those 10 books. Why did he just blow up the ship in his book? Got tired of writing?

Actually, I think he started another book with the same characters and explained the explosion some way. I never bought that book or read it. But yes, I was shocked when I read that sentence. I think it was the last sentence of the book.

Being injured and in a comma might be good for me right now.... I found out on Wednesday that I will be expected at drill this weekend, so I won't be able to post until Sunday night, earliest. Oh, well.... Just a heads up, with all that I will need to do between now and next month, with going through my many boxes of things, finding a place to live, coming up with a good budget, etc., I might not be able to post too often. I'll do what I can, though. I hope that all of you are having a wonderful Christmas season so far. Take care and God bless! U-Dawg

I'll try to get a new installment sometime before Wednesday. It's been crazy around here the past several days.

I have a stack of papers three inches high to grade and I'm reading this. I'll try to get something new in tonight or tomorrow, we have testing tomorrow, so I might have time to divert to the story.
