Speaking of playing characters... I am looking at bringing Markav's human niece into the picture sometime. If someone has kids and would like to pay her (make it more interesting), let me know. Otherwise, I'll play her character myself. U-Dawg

Hi, we are, oh, I am Leutenant Li, the ships Pilot. I was a captured Borg, captured by the Federation during a Borg attack 12 years ago I returned to earth with my ship, and was indoctrinated into Earth and Federation cultures. They were studying me also and the effects of the Borg on identity. I am still learning about individual identity. I was educated at the academy and joined Starfleet. I advanced very quickly as I am able to use almost all of my brain to assimilate knowledge. Female Age: unknown adult height 5' wt 90lbs (can fit in small spaces) Fit

I'm heading home, If I can get on line, I'll launch us, if not I'll get us launched early in the morning. This has been fun but like rcudawg said, I had one idea of where the story would go and I've had to change that several times. I find it a little odd that I'm not really that far off of where I thought we should be, but still every time I read something new, there's a new twist I didn't expect. As a writer this has certainly been challanging, and I also think it has probably been good for me. Thank you all for this opportunity, I'm enjoying myself.

I have a question. This thread is getting long, and I wanted to know if there was anyone who had the time (?) to condense the story to make it easier to read and follow? It would help if this were on one or two pages instead of in 75 posts. I would do it, but I'd either lose my job or my wife. Don't want to lose either. Just a thought. Your Captain

Captain: Funny you should ask... I am already copying the story into my (Lotus) word processer so that I have a personal copy. That way, when off-line, I could review the story at my liesure. Something I plan on during while doing drill this weekend. (Hint! Hint! I won't be available to post from Firday Night until Sunday Night...) How do you suggest we do it? Without doing any editing, the story is already 44 pages long. U-Dawg

longer, I just posted the launch. Paragraphing and deleting some of the spaces should cut down on length. I would like it to be available for everyone to read but not post on, except the person who is keeping up with it. I would almost suggest editing, but I would be afraid of changing the story line from the original postings. Just a suggestion. And thanks for keeping up with it.

A vacuum cleaner will clean it up, if you want to stop sheading, take some vitamins, or go see doc.

Just a note... I won't be taking my laptop with me to Drill, but I will take what has been written so far so that I can look at what's been happening. I'll only do minimal editing, like spelling, etc., so that the unique flavor of each person's writing style stays true. Personally, I think that's half the fun! On Monday, I'll have some time to do the actual editing. What kind of ship are we using? I was thinking of looking up the basic ship design so that I have something to go by. For example, if one person is thinking Next Generation Enterprise and the location of ther crew deck and someone else is thinking Star Trek IV Enterprise, there may be a bit of confusion. Any suggestions? Also, should I create a post and lock it so that only I can post on it? If so, how do I do that? Any other suggestions would be great. Oh, they way I was thinking about organizing it would be in scenes. For example, right now they could be: Scene 1 -- Ten Forward Scene 2 -- Sick Bay/Troi's Room Scene 3 -- Bridge, Casting Off Scene 4 -- Bridge/Captians Quarters (where we are right now) Again, anyone have other thoughts (since this is a group effort)? The USS Debit Card is an Intrepid class ship. Like Voyager. Smaller than Galaxy, but just as good. We really need to stop cross posting.

The ship has launched and the crew has started on their adventure. Many of the crew members have posted their bios here so you can get the scoop on them now. Also, don't be shy about posting questions or comments here. I'm sure they would love your feedback.

We now have a direction and a mission. Hopefully we will be able to concentrate in that one direction with the side stories adding another dimention and depth to the characters.
