Hi, I'm a youth leader at my church and our youth pastor asked me to look into finding a purity "curriculum". I asked about this over in the Xtreme teens forum, to get their point of view (what they liked, would they reccomend it to other teens). I would like to ask any of you if you have used True Love Waits, or any other curriculum re: purity that you really liked or thought worked really well. Or if you have any other suggestions, that would be great as well.

I know a lot of young men like to use the internet. Hear it works pretty well.

I did True love Waits as a teen and also did it when I was running a youth group. Honestly????? It is ok. But, I prefer to kinda look at everything out there, get different views on the subject of purity and write my own Curriculum. You know the kids and their needs and where they are better than us. I'd suggest taking two or three different ones and opening up some conversation about the subject with the kids.

In my experience......I only know of one example where someone make a commitment to True Love Waits...continued to wear the ring and actually followed through with the commitment. That is because the church only did this program once....said the kids were good and never approached the subject again. It is something that needs to be brought up often.
