Status: offline 		I would love to hear your ideas/traditions for how you make sure the focus of Christmas is on Christ for your children. I would love to start some things in my family as my son gets old enough to understand. What special things do you do?

Also, can anyone point me to a good website or other source that can explain the traditions, etc of Advent? I feel silly for knowing so little about it, but I would like to learn more.

Status: offline 		A friend of mine bought a nativity set toy for her child to play with. Except for some reason her toddler insisted on calling the baby in the manger Baby Debbie. No one knew where she even heard the name Debbie.

One of my aunts used to bake a birthday cake for Jesus on Christmas.

I found a nice advent calendar last year that was a nativity scene. We'd add a sticker each day, and by Dec. 25th we had the complete scene.
