Glenn Beck and Fox news have been exposing ACORN's corruption and reminding folks that BO and ACORN go together like peas and carrots.

I continue to watch FOXNews for my fair and balanced reporting.
No left wing bashing will change my mind.
I also watch CNN, etc. from time to time.
As far as news go, they all read what comes across the AP ticker tape.
Then they spin or hatchet to their liking.
Glenn Beck (well, does his own thing).
Then I watch "Wheel of Fortune" and/or some sitcom.
Then I come back for Bill O'Reilly.
Then Hannity.
Then Greta.
Then back to Bill O'Reilly and Hannity and Greta if you
missed anything and want a rerun. Can we say delayed
instant replay? LOL. Then late, late, you can catch Glenn Beck again.
But they do cover things the others won't. Like ACORN, etc.
I say that to say from O'Reilly to Hannity to Greta, they cover the
same news line. Perhaps with different commentary, but the same
AP news stories. I turn to CNN when the senators, etc. are giving
their speeches. Anyway, for as long as I can endure it. LOL.

Did you read the article by Howard Kurtz? If you did then I am sure you came away believing that Brit Hume's example is what all journalists should aspire to follow. He sited the one report with the response from Brit, he did not in any way go into a drawn out diatribe taking him to task. The "mangling" of studies was an insignificant little paragraph to which Brit responded. If anyone can read that and characterize it as anything but a glowing "recommendation" of Brit Hume's integrity and high standards then they obviously misread the article.

I for one am slightly surprised that we are ten months into the Chosen One's term and nobody has mentioned the return of the Fairness Doctrine.
Given our new President's inability to take any sort of criticism, I would think he'd be all over any attempt to regulate (read: "shut down") talk radio and conservative commentary...

Alrighty then; I'll stick to the topic. Is the Soetoro administration trying to isolate Fox news? Of course it is. Is it because of some ideological difference or is it an issue of money and power?
I suppose that money is the result of power and control, so that would be needless to say. Why do newscasters plaster billboards up on the interstate with pictures of themselves for promotional ads? What would be the point of doing such a thing? Maybe because there is unprecedented good 'ol competition out there and we are now having to market ourselves. There is more to this than just this administration. I don't know the money machine behind all of this but it is a major part of it. When Barry Soetoro says he wants to go have a beer with Sean Hannity, I sincerely believe that he does with all good intentions. Contrary to popular belief, I don't think the impetus for the progressive liberal media dynasty to isolate Fox news simply revolves around this President. In fact, I know it doesn't.

We have talked about it frequently. An overwhelming majority of those representatives who vote on it don't want it. It's old news now.

Wrong, I'm all for free speech. I can even defend the President's right to take swipes at Fox News...I just question the good judgment present in it. After all, free speech does come with consequence....

(oh, I forgot- there are some bleeped out expletives, i know some people are more sensitive about that than others, just a heads up)
He highlights the cycle in which Fox Opinion (Beck et al) spouts opinion that Fox News (the people you've never heard of) cites as reliable sources for their news.
The reason I appreciate Stewart is that he's very plain that this isn't just Fox. All the cable news networks are trying to do this. CNN *wishes* they were as good at it as Fox, etc.

Wow, I never thought I'd see the day that I got tired of Glenn Beck, but this post is sure doing it for me.
And no, Bush never sought to discredit MSNBC as not being a legit news source, nor did he encourage other networks "not to follow their lead", etc....
