It is just another night since it is a "holiday" that I do not acknowledge.

Studying this afternoon.

This evening I'll be sharing the message entitled "Feeding the 5,000 by the true Bread that came from heaven" in John 6:1-51 with my 3rd grade friends.

After church a quiet dinner with a couple of friends.

Home early to work on more Lexical Word studies.

Then time to rest up for a very early 4 mile hike before church tomorrow.

I really do not like this question because it makes me realize that I have the SAME answer every night - NOTHING!

Today is just like yesterday and tomorrow will be just like today. Sure, I'll go get groceries about every two weeks. I'll see my kids when they have time out of their extremely busy schedules to come and see me. I'll go to church on Sunday morning. I'll straighten up my house and do my laundry. I'll eat when necessary and I'll watch TV when something interesting is on. Otherwise that's it. Nothing to do. Nowhere to go. No one to do anything with. No life. No future. No hope.

What are you waiting for?

What do you mean? I'm not particularly waiting on anything. I just live one day at a time.

Time for Tasha to find a man

LOL... Easier said than done. Euh, but why do I have to find him? Isn't he supposed to find me? :-p All he has to do, is fly our airline and ask for the only female Belgian cabin crew.
At the moment I'm content and finally have embraced my singleness. Prince Charming will come when it's time for him to come.

But yeah, tonight will be another night of reading a little and hopefully go to bed really early. If I get the ok from the doctor later this afternoon, then.... I have to get up really early tomorrow morning for a lovely trip to Kathmandu. And I'm so happy that this time I'll actually be getting rest in Kathmandu instead of the usual turn arounds. Which also means I have to bring my saree cause the station manager said I'd had to wear it next time I come for a night stop.

Trying to semi-catch up in forums. Also, watch a movie that I rented also.

That is not "living one day at a time."

That is existing one day at a time.

Yep, you're right. I just exist in a very painful world. Had another big crisis to handle this weekend and it's not over yet. Every once in a while I am challenged to get up and take care of another problem. So I do have a little variety in my life.

But I still don't know what you mean by asking me what I'm waiting on. I don't reckon I'm waiting on anything except for God to allow me to stop living whenever it's His will for this sorry life to be over.

I'm am truly grieved for the situation you find yourself.

So heavy is your burden.

Hmmm, I'd say go to bed early cause tomorrow will be quite the busy and early day for me. But it's already past 9pm. Well, then I'll postpone going to sleep early until tomorrow

I just have to remember to fill up on fuel tomorrow. I have to go to the company doctor first. And I know she'll be saying my right ear hasn't improved. I just came back from the ENT specialist and already got that verdict. Hopefully she won't give any more sick days since I start my 3 days off tomorrow. After that I'll drive straight to the military hospital cause at 10am I'm getting my right ear tubed. Well, tiny procedure, local numbness and the pressure will be equal so no more probs for that ear on take off and landing. There's Bible study tomorrow and I said I'd go, but I don't think I can go. I won't know how soon I'll be able to go home and at 4pm I have to be back at the military hospital. I'm taking my friend to see the urologist. She went sick yesterday and they did a urine test which showed a little blood in it. But they only gave her one day sick leave and some meds. With her history of UTI earlier this year, I told her she should get it checked properly. So I made her an appointment. Especially since next week she'll be moving to South Africa to be with her husband.

Fixing dinner now, going to visit my parents in a little bit, coming home to get some references for tomorrow's trip to the library.

Elena, when is the deadline for your NaNoWriMo novel?

Elena, when is the deadline for your NaNoWriMo novel?

November 30.

50,000 words of a rough draft of a new novel in 30 days. Which means a daily goal of 1,667. But I've not written every day since it began. I'm just now getting the feel for my book.

I'm at 1,418 right now. w00t!

The good thing is that the deadline is not with a publisher. If I don't make it to 50,000, then nothing's going to happen but disappointment.

The point of the exercise is to (1) stop saying "some day I'll write a novel" and actually do it and (2) hone the self-discipline of writing every day. (I don't think forums participation counts! )

Yep! I've heard about it before. Some people are great at writing under pressure... I'm a procrastinator, so that's all I know. 1,667 per day should be do-able. That's about 5 double-spaced pages a day, right?

How many people participate in this every year? And how many people actually complete their novel (in time or shortly thereafter)?

I've got a Christian book in mind for "some day" (when I'm not writing 15 page research papers every 8 weeks). Or maybe I'll wait until I have a dissertation to work on, then turn it into a book. Who knows what I'll do.

So get to it, girlie. You've got less time to finish your novel than I have to finish my research papers.

Well, I'm invited to an Aloha party/dinner, but it will depend on my friend. If she's here, I'll go with her cause I don't know anyone else. I've met some at the Halloween party the other week. And it was my friend's bday yesterday. We sorta celebrated a little yesterday but the main party is tonight. I don't know what they have planned exactly. I might just end up staying home and read. After getting my ear "tubed" yesterday, I'm not too keen on very noisy places at the moment. It's too fresh in my mind to ignore the tube. I need another day or two or so for it to be just part of me.
