Dont have any dont want any. My daughter has 2, both small fortunatly. In the UK and I guess in the uSA as well it has got very common for girls to get them but I am sorry I hate them on girls especially the current craze to have them at the bottom of their back, cos guess what? They then wear a short top to show them off, whih isnt very modest.

Tattoos are very popular here in CA, also. Sometimes, I feel like I am one of the only ppl left in this state that doesn't have one but that is ok because I really do not find them attractive at all. Same with piercings.

No tattoos here, but sometimes I draw happy faces on my toes with a Sharpie.

No tattoos. No offense to those who have them, but not allowed according to Leviticus and not honoring Gods' temple (Corinthians). Granted, I'm sure that I have done far worse things to myself...

I have a tattoo on my wrist. It is two entertwined wedding rings and on the rings it says "Troy's Love". (Troy is my husband) We both got tattoos on our honeymoon with each other's names on them. He has my name on a heart/rose combo tattoo. It was something that we decided to do because he had been married before to a woman who cheated on him and treated him horribly. I wanted him to know from the get-go that I was in it forever, and I was so sure of that that I would forever put his name on me. Now, some people disagreed with my getting a tattoo, saying that my wedding ring on my finger should be enough, but another woman before my violated that symbol, and I felt I needed to go one step further in pledging my forever love to my husband. Plus, it is something I see all day long that has me thinking about the amazingly awesome man I married who loves me so deeply. Everytime I look at it, it makes me smile.

Hi, I have two tattoos. Seven butterflies on my upper left chest representing my seven sons and a dragonfly on my lower back. It took me at least six months or so to decide the exact size, colouring and part of the body I wanted them on. They are in very good taste.

Peace!

Sue

I have two, both on my upper arms- the left arm is a jewel heart with wings and a crescent moon in the middle, and the one on my right arm is a gold heart with wings and a tiny crescent moon at the bottom. They both have special meaning to me- the left one was my 24th birthday present from my best friend Patty, and represents the love and support my friends have shown me. The one on my right arm I had done just before I restarted college in 2004, and reminds me of the hidden strength I have. I'd been through a lot of bad things at that time of my life, and Patty said "If you can survive all you just did, a tattoo should be nothing!" She drew both of my tattoos, which makes them extra special to me.

I know that this might have been asked before and there are threads in other folders about this, however the simple question not for debate at all, but rather whether you have a tattoo or not and would you ever consider getting one? Inquiring minds want to know!

no...but I never say never.

I have a very large tattoo on my lower left leg - I got it when I was sick (I suffered from Bipolar Disorder and a cutting issue) because the one thing I wanted more than anything else in my life was balance. I wanted the highs and lows to find middle ground, where sound and rational decisions could be made. It was the one thing I wanted and also something that I couldn't have. When God healed me, I regretted the tattoo at first. Today, I look at it and it reminds me of the song that says:

He touched me
Oh He touched me
And, oh, the joy that floods my soul
Something, wonderful happened
And now I am made whole
He touched me
And He made me whole!

I also have other tattoos but there is really no meaning behind them, and I was in a manic state when I had them done, so I can't really remember what my thought process was. I do regret those, actually.

I have 15 tattoos, including 12 on my arms and hands. I may have a lot, but they all have a specific meaning to me. I'm happy with the way I look and Just because I have tattoos, I hate it that people have to pre-judge me based on that.

I like the idea of tattoos in theory, but don't have a strong desire to get one. Besides, I haven't yet thought of an image or design that I am absolutely certain I will still adore in 60 years. I might do it if I had a specific milestone to celebrate (eg I know a number of marathoners who have the Ironman tattoo).

Since I am married and my husband is not particularly fond of tattoos, that is also a factor in my not getting one. I went with an acquaintance to see her get a tattoo done once though; that was interesting.

I like Harvie's idea of smiley faces with sharpies.

I think they are hideous. They are like graffiti on the Mona Lisa.

Wouldn't pierced ears be in the same category? Just wondering....

Yes I have one tattoo on my right ankle. it's a heart with my (ex)husband's signature in it. I loved getting it and never regretted it until he left and now i wish that i didn't have it.

so if anyone gets a tattoo i would recommend NOT having a name there. i am now in the process of getting it removed. it will leave a scar, but not unlike the one on my heart.

I saw two ladies today that were tatooed from head to toe and it really was hideous looking. A few small ones that are tastefully done look fine.

That's why I don't pierce either, but that's me.
