The KC area is supposed to get 6 to 12 inches of snow.

Sometimes I think I must not be speaking English. I think I am posting in such a way to be understood but apparently I'm not.

Well, if you quit making sense you might be more understood.

j/k ... I feel like that sometimes ... like I live in an alien land

When I left my house this morning, I turned the knob on the front door and it fell off in my hand

I confess that I mumbled something that Frank from Everybody Loves Raymond is famous for saying. Yes, it's true, I did.

The munchkin was looking at me and wanted to know what I did. Then he got excited and informed me "I will get the screwdriver".

He's such a guy. He makes me so proud. *sheds a little tear*

So together we fixed it. He was late to school. I was late to work. Of course, part of the lateness blame can also be shared with the guy in the big SUV who broke down right where the road merged into one lane.

Have I mentioned how happy I am that it's Friday???

Prayer request update: my pastor was checked out and x-rayed at the hospital. No broken bones ... praise God! He is home and in a lot of pain. Thanks to everyone for the prayers, and requesting continued prayer for his healing.

Edited to add: Gary, praying for safe travels and a wonderful time with your sweetie!!

Samgirl ... good munchkin! I'm happy you have him. Also glad your pastor's okay. Pain passes ...

Gary ... have a great time!

All I'm reading is "blah, blah, blah...blah, blah, blah..."
huh?

unless the grammar/spellcheck-challenged are posting...I can pretty much read and understand everybody

and even then, it's gotta be pretty bad

Sometimes I'll get in a serious mood and make what I think is a stellar post--- and it thus gets ignored by everyone else's bickering. *sigh* I guess that's why I gave up on stellar posts and settle for mediocrity instead.

You too?

I guess we have to swallow, as hard as it is, that many people just don't want to hear rational thinking.

So true, Pammy. Maybe the next time we want to make a stellar post we should preface the post with bold letters saying

LISTEN UP YOU PEEPS...I HAVE SOMETHING PERTINENT TO SHARE THAT IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE OP. This will be good for you, now pay attention!

Do you think that would work?

Sure, then ask them to pray for your humility...

I'm not sure I see that as not humble though. This is a forum, and everyone deserves to be heard and considered. What Tina suggested would be akin to clearing one's throat. I like it!

Nah, I'm sorry. I obviously don't catch on to that stuff too well.

Afternoon Den.

So are we supposed to be making sense now? Somebody better send me the memo if we are, otherwise I'm staying with my current program.

And what's wrong with talking to Easter candy? Or any candy? There's many a day that I'd rather talk to chocolate than some of the people I work with!

So YAY, it is Friday. And yes, I am glad too. And yes, work has been challenging today... more so than usual.

I am succeeding at this today.

Well, I'm busy, but bored. Some of this technical stuff is really boring.

Hmmm. The ones who don't want to pay attention and wish to continue on with their mindless arguments aren't paying attention anyways.

But the Easter candy will be happy to sit still and listen to anything you have to say.

doink, I knew you was teasing. Love the sarcasm

Sooooo ... Euty is now Spiderman. The munchkin was wearing socks with you on them last night. LOL

I have 10 minutes before my lunch break is over ... need to go see if I can cause any trouble.

Special for you:

During a visit to the mental asylum, I asked the Director how do you determine whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.

'Well,' said the Director, 'we fill up a bathtub, and then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub.'

'Oh, I understand,' I said. 'A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup.'

'No.' said the Director, 'A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?'
