Anyone see the Red Sox-Jays Game?

Can't believe the Jays hit eleven homers tonight

Well, my season ended today. But the Mets went out winning 2 of their last 3 and actually looked decent doing it. I'm looking forward to next year when my starting lineup is healthy again, and to rooting against the Yankees and Phillies in the post season.

For the second year in a row, my Twins are playing their 163rd game to break a tie. I hope they can pull this one off.

Maybe you'll get lucky and Cabrera will still be hung over.

The Twins will never be able to buy wins like other teams, but they have more heart than any other.

And they showed it last night. Congrats on another nail biting win. The wind's gonna be blowing out to right tonight with gusts up to 50mph. Should make for a verrry interesting game.

Congratulations to the Twins. That was hard-fought, and good for them! I still think the Yankees are going to beat them handily, but the Twins have every reason to be proud of themselves.

I've never believed that teams with money necessarily have less heart; I think it's all a case by case basis.

What do y'all predict for the Red Sox/Angels series? I don't know much about the NL matchups, so I'm heading over to so some reading right now.

I'll go out on a limb here and say Cards over the Dodgers in 5 and Phillies over Rockies in 4. Cards over Phillies in 5. Cards over Yanks in 6. The Cards have the best two starters in the playoffs. And Albert Pujols, only the best player in MLB. Superior pitching plus a potent offense equals a World Series win for St. Louis.

Dodgers game was a lot of fun last night. They will take it all! They had a guy play "God Bless America" on the sax and it was great. One down, 2 to go.

Belle, I hope you stuck around till the end of that game. We're right now in the 10th inning. Good to see A-Rod earning his paycheck with a 9th inning home run against Joe Nathan, as well as the earlier RBI.

ETA: Of course, non of that means anything if the Yankee bull pen falls to pieces.

Has anybody else noticed that Mark Gardenhire looks remarkably like Phil Keaggy?

I must admit, I don't know who Keggy is.

How does it happen that one team loads the bases with no outs and can't score a run, and the other team then proceeds to home run (left field) on their first batter? Are the twins jinxed?

Phil Keaggy is probably the best guitarist alive today. He was one of the major players in the "Jesus music" era, the precursor to modern day Christian pop/rock music.

To all members of the Red Sox Nation... I'm sorry. I was watching the 3rd game of your series just now, and that was a tough loss. Although I cheer for the Yankees, I genuinely like the Red Sox. That was rough.

Cheer for the Yanks and like the Sox? I guess that theory about the multiverse really is true...

Dodgers v. Angels in the World Series if the halos can squeek past the bombers somehow...

I knew that. I was just testing. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Hey I didn't say I cheer for the Sox, I said I like them, mostly because I appreciate any team that enriches the sport of baseball, and heaven knows this sport would not be the same without the Boston Red Sox. They really are irreplaceable.

Agreed that Joe Torre's Dodgers are going to make it through, no matter matter who wins in the Rockies/Phillies series. But I think the Yankees/Angels series will be one nasty bloodbath. Of course I'm rooting for the Yanks, but it's not going to be anywhere near as easy as beating the Twins.

What happened to Joe Nathan and Papelbon anyways? Well, Mo Rivera has imploded a time or two I suppose.

I think it would be really cool to see Joe Torre return to the Bronx for a World Series.

The Rockies had that game last night. What a big loss for them. That was an amazing play when their guy jumped over the second baseman to be safe!

I am hoping for a freeway series between my beloved Dodgers and those (not from LA) Angels. Although our freeways are already crowded enough.
