Genesis 1:2 - The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Observation
AS I MEET WITH GOD HE COMES LIVING AND BREATHING THROUGH THE SCRIPTURES INTO MY HEART. AT THAT MOMENT THE VERY SAME SPIRIT THAT HOVERED OVER CREATION IN THE BEGINNING IS HOVERING OVER ME, TRANSFORMING ME INTO THE IMAGE OF CHRIST THROUGH THE WORD. THAT LIVING, BREATHING WORD IS GOD!
2 Corinthians 3:18 - But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Matthew 14:27 - But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
CHRIST'S ASSURANCE, "IT IS I," LITERALLY TRANSLATED READS, "I AM" - THE ETERNAL DESIGNATION OF GOD. WHILE JESUS INDEED COMES TO THE AID OF HIS DISCPIPES, HE ALSO REVEALS HIMSELF TRANSCENDENT OF TIME'S BARRIERS. AS SUCH, HE PROCLAIMS HIS AVAILABILITY TO ALL HIS DISCIPLES. HE IS GOD WITH US, EVEN TO THE END OF THE AGE!
Matthew 7:25 - And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Observation
I CANNOT BUILD MY HOUSE "IN A STORM". MY HOUSE MUST BE BUILT DAY BY DAY, BEFOREHAND, BY DIGGING DEEP AND BUILDING ON THE ROCK OF HEARING AND OBEYING THE WORDS OF CHRIST.

Matthew 14:26 - To this Jesus replied "it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."
IT IS THE PRIVILEGE OF CHILDREN TO EAT AT THE TABLE WITH THEIR FATHER AND FROM HIS DISH, WHICH IS TO SHARE IN HIS SPIRIT; BUT THE DOGS MUST EAT THE CRUMBS THAT FALL FROM THE TABLE.
Psalms 59: 14,15 - And at evening let them return; and let them make an noise like a dog, and go round about the city. Let them wander up and down for meat, and tarry if they be not satisfied.
Luke 22:24 - Now an eager contention arose among them as to which of them was considered and reputed to be the greatest.
Observation
I AM NOT AT REST IN HIM IF I AM LOOKING ABOUT TO SEE HOW HE IS DEALING WITH OTHERS. NOR AM I AT HIS SERVICE TO BRING THE GRACE OF COMPASSION TO THEM, IF I HAVE TAKEN A HIGHER SEAT .
Luke 22:26 - But this is not the way it is with you; rather, the greatest one among you must be like the youngest, and the leader must be like the servant.
Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
THE TERRITORY OF THE UNCRUCIFIED THOUGHT-LIFE IS THE BEACHHEAD OF SATANIC ASSAULT IN MY LIFE. TO DEFEAT THE DEVIL, I MUST BE RENEWED IN THE SPIRIT OF MY MIND!

1 John 3:16 - Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethern.
Observation
WHEN I WANT GOD ABOVE ALL, I AM WILLING - AS CHRIST WAS WILLING - TO FOLLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT, EVEN IN THE MOST DRY AND DARK AND PAINFUL TIMES. WHEN I SEE WITH THE EYES OF FAITH THAT THIS IS THE SPIRITUAL MEANING OF THE CROSS, I WILL KNOW HOW TO IMITATE CHRIST AND DO WHAT HE DID.
Matthew 15:29 - And He said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
IN THE PUREST SENSE PETER DID NOT REST HIS WEIGHT UPON THE WATER; HE STOOD UPON CHRIST'S WORD: "COME!" PETER TRUSTED THAT IF JESUS TOLD HIM TO DO THE IMPOSSIBLE - EVEN TO WALK ON THE WATER - THE POWER TO OBEY WOULD BE INHERENT WITHIN THE COMMAND.
Hebrews 10:24 - And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.
Observation
BECAUSE I CONSTANTLY OBSERVE AND CONTEMPLATE OTHERS TO KNOW HOW TO ENCOURAGE AND PROVOKE THEM TO LOVE AND TO GOOD WORKS AND AS I REACH OUT TO ASSIST THEM WITH WORDS OF STRENGTH - THEY ARE BECOMING BETTER, STRONGER, AND BOLDER IN THE LORD.

Judges 16:21 - But the Philistines took Samson, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.
THE SAME THING HAPPENS TO A PERSON IN WHOM THE ENEMY APPETITES RESIDE AND TRIUMPH. FIRST THESE APPETITES WEAKEN AND BLIND, THEN THEY AFFLICT AND TORMENT BY CHAINING THAT PERSON TO THE MILL OF CONCUPISCENCE, FOR THEY ARE THE CHAINS BY WHICH A SOUL IS BOUND.
Genesis 1:26 - God said, let Us make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts, and over all the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.
IT IS NOT SATAN WHO DEFEATS US; IT IS OUR OPENNESS TO HIM. SATAN IS TOLERATED FOR ONE PURPOSE: THE WARFARE BETWEEN THE DEVIL AND GOD'S SAINTS THRUSTS US INTO CHRISTLIKENESS, WHERE THE NATURE OF CHRIST BECOMES OUR ONLY PLACE OF REST AND SECURITY. GOD ALLOWS WARFARE TO FACILITATE HIS ETERNAL PLAN, WHICH IS TO MAKE MAN IN HIS IMAGE.
1 Peter 1:13 - Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Plan of Action
TODAY I SEEK TO DEAL WITH THE LOOSE ENDS THAT I'VE ALLOWED TO REMAIN IN MY MIND AND EMOTIONS. I MAKE THE DELIBERATE CHOICE TO START SUBMITTING EVERY AREA OF MY MIND AND EMOTIONS TOTHE WORD OF GOD AND TO THE SANCTIFYING POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Numbers 11:5,6 - We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions and the garlic: But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna before our eyes.
THEY WERE UNSUCCESSFUL IN DERIVING FROM THE MANNA ALL THE TASTE AND STRENGTH THEY WERE LOOKING FOR, NOT BECAUSE THE MANNA DIDN'T HAVE THESE BUT BECAUSE OF THEIR CRAVING FOR OTHER FOODS. SIMILARLY, IF SPIRITUAL PERSONS COULD RAISE THEIR APPETITES ABOVE CHILDISH THINGS, THEY WOULD DISCOVER IN SPIRITUAL FOOD THE SAVOR OF ALL THINGS.
2 Kings 6:17 - And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
IN SPIRITUAL WAREFARE, THE BATTLE IS NEVER LIMITED TO AN "US AGAINST THEM" HUMAN AFFAIR. IT ALWAYS INCLUDES "THOSE WITH US" AGAINST "THOSE WITH THEM."
Mark 11:23 - For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
BECAUSE GREAT POWER IS RELEASED WHEN MY HEART AND MOUTH START WORKING TOGETHER, IT'S EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT I PUT THE RIGHT THINGS INTO MY HEART.

Psalm 59:9 - O my Strength, I will watch and give heed to You and sing praises; for God is my Defense.
THE SOUL THAT IS NOT RECOLLECTED IN ONE APPETITE ALONE - THE DESIRE FOR GOD - LOSES HEAT AND STRENGTH IN THE PRACTICE OF VIRTUE. I WILL CONCENTRATE THE STRENGTH OF MY APPETITES ON GOD ALONE.
Mark 9:24 - And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
I AM NO LONGER TROUBLED BY THE DEMONS OF FEAR AND DOUBT. I REPENT OF MY UNBELIEF. I DRAW UPON THE FORGIVENESS OF CHRIST AND HIS PURITY OF HEART AND THEN I YIELD MYSELF TO CHRIST'S FAITH WITHIN ME.
James 3:8 - But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
I BOLDLY DECLARE THAT MY TONGUE IS UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. MY WORDS ARE SEASONED WITH GRACE, AND MY LIPS ARE CONSTANTLY GIVING THANKS TO GOD! THIS IS WHAT MY TONGUE SPEAKS BECAUSE IT IS SUBMITTED TO THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS CHRIST.

2 Timothy 2:22 - Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
IT IS BETTER TO DEVELOP GODLY VIRTUES THAN TO SPEND MY DAY PRAYING AGAINST THE DEVIL. VICTORY BEGINS WITH THE NAME OF JESUS ON MY LIPS. IT IS CONSUMMATED BY THE NATURE OF JESUS IN MY HEART.
Matthew 6:9-11 - This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed by Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
HEAVEN NEEDS ME TO GIVE IT LICENSE TO IMPACT EARTH. I CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND CHANGE THE COURSE OF HISTORY IF I WILL JUST UNDERSTAND THE PURPOSE AND POWER OF PRAYER.
Romans 8:14 - As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
I CONFESS THAT I AM LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD! THE HOLY SPIRIT TUGS AND PULLS ON MY HEART, AND I COOPERATE BY FOLLOWING HIM AS HE GENTLY LEADS ME WHERE HE WANTS ME TO GO. HE SEES AND KNOWS WHAT I CANNOT SEE. HE IS LEADING ME EXACTLY WHERE I NEED TO BE IN ORDER TO REACH MY MAXIMUM POTENTIAL IN LIFE.

Jeremiah 33:3 - Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable thing you do not know.
PRAYER IS MEANT TO BE ANSWERED - OR GOD WOULD NOT ASK US TO PRAY. JESUS DIDN'T PRAY WITHOUT EXPECTING TO BE HEARD.
Hebrews 3:13 - But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Affirmations
I STIR UP MY FAITH AND EXPERIENCE MORE DEEPLY THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD IN MY LIFE THROUGH THE EXHORTATION AND ENCOURAGEMENT OF OTHER BELIEVERS.
I INTEND TO FIND A WAY TO ENCOURAGE SOMEONE WHO NEEDS STRENGTH AND UNDERSTANDING TODAY!
Psalm 141:3 - Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

THE WORLD IS LIKE A RUSHING RIVER, PULLING AT ME, TRYING TO GET ME TO FLOW WITH IT. I MAKE THE DECISION TODAY TO PADDLE UPSTREAM AGANIST THE CURRENT BY SPEAKING GOD'S WORD INTO MY LIFE.

THE PLACE WHERE JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED WAS CALLED "GOLGOTHA", WHICH MEANT "PLACE OF THE SKULL". IF I WILL BE EFFECTIVE IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE, THE FIRST FIELD OF CONFLICT WHERE I MUST LEARN WARFARE IS THE BATTLEGROUND OF THE MIND; IE. THE "PLACE OF THE SKULL".
Joshua 1:6 - Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

Luke 18:1 - Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.
SINCE HE HAS GIVEN HUMANITY AUTHORITY OVER THE EARTH, HE REQUIRES THE PERMISSION OR AUTHORIZATION OF MANKIND IN ORDER TO ACT ON THE EARTH. THIS IS WHY, WHEN WE STOP PRAYING, WE ALLOW GOD'S PURPOSES FOR THE WORLD TO BE HINDERED.
Matthew 16:19 - I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven ; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
2 Peter 3:14 - With this to look forward to, do your utmost to be found at peace with Him, unblemished and above reproach in his sight.
WE WANT A PEACE THAT TEMPORARILY COMFORTS AND CODDLES BECAUSE WE DO NOT LIKE TO BE CHALLENGED OR CHANGED. THE PEACE THAT FLOWS INTO US FROM THE LORD SATISFIES THE SOUL WITH FULL ASSURANCE THAT HE IS STILL FOR US, EVEN AS WE ARE BEING TAKEN THROUGH FIRE - IN WHICH WE CAN BE CHANGED INTO HIS LIKENESS.

Matthew 5:3 - Blessed are the poor in spirit: for their's is the kingdom of heaven.
Affirmations
I EMPTY MY SOUL. AND SEEK TO BE FILLED WITH THE ATTITUDE OF CHRIST, WHICH IS A SURE WELLSPRING - UNENDING, AND BRIMMING WITH LIFE ETERNAL.
I COUNT ALL THAT THE PROUD FLESH DESIRES AS WORTH LESS THAT NOTHING.
Philippians 3:8,9 - I reckon everything as complete loss for the sake of what is so much more valuable, the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have thrown everything away; I consider it all as mere rubbish, so that I might gain Christ and be completely united with Him.

I THINK ABOUT AND REFLECT ON THE WORD OF GOD - PONDERING A PARTICULAR SCRIPTURE AND MENTALLY APPLYING IT TO MY OWN CIRCUMSTANCES AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL THAT SCRIPTURE PERMANENTLY MARKS MY CONSCIOUSNESS.
AS GOD PUT VISION IN ABRAM THROUGH HIS WORD, HE WILL ALSO BRING UP INTO MY CONSCIOUSNESS HIS VISION FOR ME.
Mark 16:15 - And He said unto them, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."
Observation
JESUS EXPECTS ME TO INVADE EVERY SPHERE WHERE I HAVE INFULUENCE AND TO USE THAT INFLUENCE TO SHARE THE GOSPEL WITH THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE, WORK, AND FUNCTION IN THOSE PLACES.
I CHOOSE THIS DAY TO INVEST MY TIME AND ENERGY INTO FULFILLING THAT DIVINE ASSIGNMENT.

Affirmations
I AM DEVELOPING MY OWN HUMAN SPIRIT, AND I AM BECOMING MORE SENSITIVE TO THE SPIRIT OF GOD.
I HAVE ACCEPTED THE CALL OF GOD TO LEAVE THE LOW LIFE BEHIND, AND I AM FOLLOWING THE SPIRIT OF GOD TO A HIGHER REALM, WHERE I WILL LIVE IN CONTINUAL PEACE, JOY, AND VICTORY.
Luke 18:9 - He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and despised others.
LIKE ALL EXPEDITIONS, MY JOURNEY STARTS WITH A DEPARTURE. LONG BEFORE I EVER ARRIVE AT HOLINESS, I MUST DEPART FROM SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS AND PRIDE.

SINCE I HAVE GIVEN MY LIFE TO JESUS, THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD HAS BEEN IMPARTED TO ME.
BECAUSE THROUGH JESUS, I RECEIVED GOD'S NATURE. SIN AND THE DOMINION OF SATAN CANNOT HAVE AUTHORITY OVER ME BECAUSE JESUS IS MY LORD.

JESUS CONDEMED SIN. AND WE CONDEMN SIN ALSO, BUT THE SIN WE MUST CONDEMN FIRST IS THE SIN OF JUDGING OTHERS, FOR IT OBSCURES OUR VISION FROM DISCERNING SIN IN OURSELVES.

THE EMEMIES WHICH DEFEAT ME ARE HIDDEN AND LATENT WITHIN ME. THE HOLY SPIRIT MUST EXPOSE MY FOES BEFORE I CAN CONQUER THEM! AM I TOO PROUD OR TOO INSECURE TO ADMIT I NEED HELP?

I CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST HAS COME THAT I MIGHT HAVE, KEEP, AND CONSTANTLY RETAIN A VITALITY, GUSTO, VIGOR, AND ZEST FOR LIVING THAT SPRINGS UP FROM DEEP DOWN INSIDE ME.
I'M TAKING MY EYES OFF THE LOW ROAD, AND I'M HEADED FOR THE HIGH ROAD OF BLESSING GOD HAS PLANNED FOR ME!

Observation
WHY DO I OFFER THE SILVER OF MY WILL FOR WHAT IS NOT BREAD (THE BREAD OF THE DIVINE SPIRIT) AND WASTE THE LABOR FOR MY APPETITES ON WHAT CANNOT SATISFY THEM?
I WAIT AND LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND HAVE THE FOOD I DESIRE AND MY SOUL DELIGHTS IN ABUNDANCE.

Observation
THE JEWS WERE CALLED, NOT JUST TO KNOW ABOUT THE PROMISED LAND BUT TO "DWELL" IN IT AND MAKE IT THEIR HOME. SO ALSO I AM CALLED TO DWELL IN CHRIST, WHERE GOD IN HIS KINGDOM BECOMES MY ABIDING PLACE.
2 Timothy 4:2 - Preach the Word urgently at all times, whenever you get the chance, in season and out, when it is convenient and when it is not. Correct and rebuke your people when they need it, encourage them to do right, and all the time be feeding them patiently with God's Word.
