It's not to bad out there today - But it's the calm before the "big storm" they say is coming in tonight.
The kids might actually get an outdoor recess today! Should make for some happy kiddos tonight!

Frigid here too! It's been snowing all day on top of what we already have - which wasn't much, but now it's supposed to start getting windy. Wind and a light fluffy snow are not a good combo! Several schools north and west of us have let out early and ALL area schools have canceled all after school and evening activities.
My eldest is headed up to Michigan this weekend on a retreat - I have to go and see about buying him some snow pants and a heavier coat. Tubing and snowboarding and lots of time hanging out with friends outside necessitate warmer outerwear. And boots. He must have a new pair of winter boots.

Now we should keep in mind that the temps in Australia are all in celsius. 
Very cold here, the weather report said that it will be the coldest its been in 4 years. That doesn't really phase me though, when it gets into the single digits, it is just just plain cold then.

I guess I fly 1-2x a year on average. I make to the shindig in Indians the last couple of years. There may be one in the Northeast too come this Spring too.

Brr!
Today we got to the lowest recorded low for NE Indiana in 15 years!! It hasn't been this cold in January since 1993!
We have a space heater turned toward our well pump several hours a day these last couple of days just to keep the water flowing!
My thermometer on my north facing kitchen window read -22 this morning! Without the windchill! BRRRR! And my sister in California is complaining about her "cold" temps! That's just not allowable!!
