quote:
Did Jesus remain God in the flesh? quote:
whether or not Jesus was still God while human. These seem to be two different questions. The answer to the first one is "yes". Jesus remains God in the flesh. That flesh is now imperishible. (1 Corinthians 15) I can't answer the second question because it is a flawed question. Jesus was, is and will always be God. "While human" is in error. Jesus is still human. Jesus will forever be the GodMan. He is forever 100% God and 100% human. Jesus did not cease to be God when he was born into flesh. Jesus did not cease to be human when he arose from the dead. The only thing he ceased to be is mortal. One day we will cease to be mortal. 1 Corinthians 15:50 I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 1 John 3:2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears,[a]we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
