"Did Jesus remain God in the flesh"?

"Remain God'? - God is God.

"In the Flesh"? - a good question for discussion, I suppose. and it seems, that if we embrace Scripture and the teaching of the Church, there could be a couple different approaches:

Every time I partake of the sacrament of the Eucharist, there is a mystical meeting of God
Every time I serve my neighbor, and love another, there is a mystical meeting of God
If I awaken to Christ within, the mystery of ages, I see the horizon of a mystical meeting with God

So, in these terms: yes.

quote:

Jesus is still in the flesh and subsists as God, as always. He physically is sitting

So, you picture the Father sitting somewhere in some kind of physicality, with Jesus hanging out next to the Father, also flesh & blood like you and I? Like in another Galaxy or something?

YUP!

Heb 1:3. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

or, standing as the case may be,

Acts 7:56

and he said, `Lo, I see the heavens having been opened, and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of God.

I am always fascinated by the keen distinction made between Jesus and God/the Majesty on High in these clear texts of heavenly reality. These texts clearly show the glorified man Christ Jesus - and seem to see God singularly and distinctly.

I am also fascinated by the complete absence of the Holy Spirit (I have yet to see a text of the Holy Spirit in heaven - but would love to if someone knows of one). I realized this is off topic and have posted this request under "God"

well, one (Hebrews) is a documented puzzle, a written homily and the other (Acts) is a 'vision'.
of course, i mean no disrespect when i ask if you read all of scripture as though it was a transcript from some film footage?

Face,

I am not sure what the real question is - regardless of anything, the vision and the letter/homily depict the reality of and relationship of the person of Jesus and God. We see this exact same reality depicted throughout the NT with especially vivid in Rev.

well certainly they are a "depiction", some are more vivid than others - not all are "literal actualities", would you agree?

for example, you obviously take these specific passages very literally.
do you also take the teachings about the eucharist just as literally?
