I do not know anybody personally for losing their jobs due to the economy, but my father fears that he might lose his job of 25 years because they are already doing cut-backs on a few of his co-workers and the company might actually close down.
Dear and Precious Lord,
We are coming to You right now before Your Son and first off, asking for forgiveness of any sins we have commited by action, mind and/or words. We thank You that you sent Your Son to die for our sins because without You, we would not know here we would be today.
We know that the future and this economy is in Your hands and we as Your sons and daughters cannot do anything about it other than pray and come before You and trust You wholeheartly.
We rebuke the enemy for trying to bring us down and think that all hope is lost. We rebuke any fear of abandonment and unemployment in the name of Jesus.
As Your children, we deserve the best and only the best as You the Lord of Lords and King of Kings and all the money in the world cannot surpass the richness of silver, gold and plantinum that is in the High Heavens that only belong to You.
I thank You in advance for hearing the cries of our hearts and answering our prayers. In Jesus' name., we say a loud AMEN!

I agree in prayer for all who have or are about to lose their jobs due to the poor economy.
I lost my job last October due to lay offs. Because of health reasons I haven't been able to really search for a new one. I have lost a job before, and know that my security is not in any job, but in God alone. When I lost my job this last Oct., I found a great sense of peace in knowing God will take good care of me. He will never abandon His children in their time of need. I am using this "time off" to draw closer to God through the reading of His Word and by fasting and prayer. Yes, I do go through the emotional hills and valleys, but through it all there is this peace that can only come from knowing my Father God is there for me. He is there for all who will call upon Him.
~ Phil. 4:6-7, 12-13, & 19-20.
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Now all glory to God our Father forever and ever! Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray that You will provide as Your Word in Philippians, and in Deuteronomy 8:18, says You will do. I ask for Your protection, provision, and favor to be poured out abundantly upon all who have lost jobs. Please strengthen the economy so that jobs will be available to all who need them. I pray that all who have or are about to lose their jobs will find a great sense of peace and joy in their hearts through knowing that You are with them through it all. Calm their hearts, fears, and emotions, and give them peace in the valley. I also pray that You will provide each and every one a good job soon, according to Your will for their lives. In the authority and power of Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Father,
Please guide Alan to a wonderful career which he will enjoy and where he will do a great of deal of good. Help him to keep up payments to us on his house which he bought from us. Father,
Thank you for being our all. To us humans, it seems that more and more people are losing their jobs. Have mercy on us all. Help us to get in step with you and go forward with you.
Help so that your mission of preaching the Gospel and making disciples will go forward without being hurt by Christians losing their jobs and without being hurt by the economy. Please bless those who trust you. We thank you for being our loving Father and we ask for this help in Jesus Christ's name.

O Beloved, do you know that what concerns you is of the utmost concern to God? If you belong to the Lord Jesus Christ, every need, every trial, every temptation that touches you, touches God, because you are part of His Son. You are bone of His bone, flesh of His flesh. You belong to Jesus. He is your Savior, your Lord, your Head, your Elder Brother-a joint-heir with you.
As His child, this is why God tells you to humble yourself by casting every single care, everything that makes you anxious, worried, or upset upon Him. You are His sheep. He is your Shepherd.
Cast your cares on Him! Do not walk in pride, thinking you must bear it alone, figure it out, and somehow "make it" on your own. Humility admits need and says, "I cannot, but, God, You can!"
First Peter 5:6 and 7 says: "Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you."
Did you notice that I underlined the word "because" in that verse? I want you to see and know just how precious you are to Him. You have worth, value, purpose! Whether you believe it or not, it is true.

Yes Dear Heavenly Father, I too pray that Alan will find that wonderful career that you have set aside for him to have. I pray he will get it soon. I pray that he will seek Your will and purposes, and draw closer to You in the days and weeks ahead. I know Your grace is sufficient for him. Lord, Look upon with mercy and favor those who are currently unemployed. Lord lead and guide them to another place of employment. Help them to keep their eyes upon You and not on the economy. For with You God all things are possible. I pray Lord that You will supply their every need according to Your riches in glory. Encourage them daily as they seek work. In Jesus Name, Amen.
I thank God I am still employed. In 2006 I lost my job. There were days I felt like giving up, but God encouraged me to go forward. Be encouraged those who have lost jobs. God is merciful and will help you find other employment. We never know when we will be affected, but we must keep our eyes on Jesus. Jesus will take care of His own.

Dear Lord Jesus,
The economy is so bad, everywhere we turn there are those who are losing their jobs. I pray Father that you would provide for those names who are written here that need a job. You have said you are able to do abundantly exceedingly above all that we ask and this is my prayer that you would work powerful miracles in the lives of those mentioned here. Father, not only do I have family members who are without work, Lord you know what is happening here with the closing of the hospital and all the jobs that could be lost because of it. You know the promises made to thsoe employees, but you also know the future. Please take care of those who will be impacted and provide for their needs. As for the people within my family, please provide. In Jesus Name, I pray, amen.

O Lord, I pray for this one who is seeking your help on employment. I also lift up others to You who need jobs. May You guide them in the right direction.
I wrote this several years ago, and thought it might give you some encouragement.
Psalm 75. 6,7 "For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another."
I was seeking the Lord for the right job He wanted me to have. I had submitted many applications, but had not had an interview. Those of you who have been through a period of unemployment can understand the frustration of this, especially with the bills piling up. However, when trusting God, we understand the value of waiting for God's timing.
As I rode by the local shopping mall, a vacant buidling nearby would draw me. Several times, I pulled up to this building and the Lord spoke to me and said, "This building is where I want you to work." I had no idea of what kind of work I'd be doing. The Lord was silent on that subject.
About two weeks later, I saw a job advertisement in the local paper. The job was for an instructor of retail sales at a small vocational school. The applications were being accepted at---you guessed it---that vacant building near the mall.
I submitted the application, was interviewed and offered the job. At the same time, I was offered a state job with more money and benefits. I did not hestitate when the Lord spoke to me and said "Take the instructor position."
Each morning before class, I would read a verse of scripture. A few students objected at first but some of those later volunteered to read the scripture for the day. After I'd been teaching for several weeks, the Lord spoke to me and said, "I want you to go to the Bahamas." I replied, "I don't have the money to go." The Lord replied, "I'll make the way to go, just be prepared to go." About two months later, the Lord spoke to me and said, "Irvin, I want you to be the head administrator of this school. Your time in this position will be short, so don't even put your name over the door." A couple of weeks later, the head administrator resigned so I assumed I'd be promoted to the job like the Lord spoke. Lo and behold, another person from corporate headquarters came to take the position. I immediately prayed and asked the Lord about this..The Lord spoke to me and said "Have faith." Three days later, the other person was gone, and I was promoted to head administrator. As part of the promotion, I received a free cruise to the Bahamas where the Lord used me in a special way - but that is another story! I held this job for a few months and then the Lord moved me on to another mission.

Thank you for your prayers everyone. It's not time to celebrate the start of something new employment-wise just yet, but it is a day closer.
I continue to pray with you all for the many we know who are now unemployed.
