Well yesterday was Redneck day. Today was clash day. Tomorrow is duo day(ie. batman and joker, salt and pepper, ketchup and mustard, etc). Thursday is either school colors(blue & gold) or 1968 dress.(it's our 40th anniversary). And then Friday is dorm society color day.

Welcome to the forums medium oneone. Your Spirit week sounds like fun. I remember those days. They were too long ago for me to talk about.

Welcome MediumOneOne!! Ahhh yes... Spirit Week, those were the days!

How's everyone? Seems like I don't get to sign on as much as I would like to. I received some disturbing news yesterday. I took my dog "Lyric" to the Vet to have her ears looked at. She's a Lab and they are susceptible to ear infections. Anyway, she had what I thought was a skin tag under her hind leg for a few months now so I asked the Dr. to look at it. She decided to take an aspiration of it and after the results came in she told me that Lyric has "Mast Cell cancer. I am so worried about her......she is scheduled for surgery next Wednesday the 15th. She is my baby and all of you dog lovers know that something like this is very hard to deal with. If the cancer is in the 1st stages then she has over a 90% chance of recovery. However, there are 2 stages after that, that obviously gets worse. She will be 6 in November and that is a young age for a dog. Truly she is like my own girl as she never had a mama dog, only me to raise her from the minute she was born which meant up every 2-3 hrs bottle feeding her.

I hope everyone is doing well!

I have to say, I've never heard of spirit week before.

Vocal, I'm so sorry to hear about Lyric. I have a furry son named Bailey who will be 7 the day after Christmas. I can definitely relate to your worry. It's still early days, which means Lyric will I imagine would be to her advantage.

Been a busy day today. I think I mentioned that we don't have a car any more and are waiting for the Lord to provide another as we don't have the finances to buy a car, unless you're talking about those tiny metal cars that young kids play with. A friend came over today and took us shopping and to do a few errands. I think I'll be sleeping really well tonight.

Would you all keep them in your prayers and thoughts?

I have a friend at school that I always called little one. So then another girl came along, smaller than the first, so she became little one 2. And so that made me and the other girl become medium one one, and medium one two. I'm a thinkin' we might just have had too much time on our hands.

I'm just planning a quiet weekend. Do some reading, spend some time with my dog and work some more on my Christmas projects.

I wish I were that organised. I used to be. There have been times when I've had gifts etc done by the end of August, including things in the overseas mail. Definitely didn't happen this year. Hopefully I'll get more organised for next year I've got some gifts on layaway for Christmas. Some gifts I bought earlier in the year. There are still a few gifts that I have to get organised, but I'm not that worried about them. My main thing will then be the Christmas cards.

Speaking of Christmas cards, has anybody thought about being involved in a women's Christmas card exchange? I don't know who'd organise it etc. Just a thought.

I've had a quiet but productive day. Got some snail mail done. Wrote out some of the recipe cards that I want to get done for Christmas gifts. Watched "The Miracle Worker", about Helen Keller, spent some time with Bailey, did some reading, played a game of squatter tonight. Need to do some more recipes tomorrow.

Which version did you watch? I like both the one with Melissa Gilbert as Helen and the one with Patty Duke as Helen.

My version of "The Miracle Worker" is an older one in black and white. It starred Anne Bancroft and Patti Duke.

Squatter is like a farming version of Monopoly.

Nicole, all your guys' food looks so good! I am so hungry after looking at those pictures. Me want pasta! Your place looks good too!

Welcome MediumOneOne!

Have fun stove shopping Jennifer!

I am sleepy today. Not much sleep last night because we had a freezing rainstorm that was NOISY! Still it's a good day. I have been sleeping really well lately so one bad sleep won't get me down.
