Hi everybody.
Tammy, how's Josie the Brave?
Spanish Rice. Dirty Rice. I wouldn't have a clue what they are either. Dirty rice. Doesn't sound very nice, very hygienic. Arroz con pollo. Don't know what that is either. Are they hard to make? Might have to look up the recipes for those.

Spanish rice is just rice with tomato sauce, peppers, onions and assorted spices.
Dirty rice, I think, is not much different than rice and beans. It is dark, thus "dirty."
Joy, thanks. My roomate, just so ya know, left my church some time ago. I have been very limited in what I've said about the church to my roomate ever since. It would be nice, but not necessary, for us to attend church together again. But that is not the issue. The issue is that I need a place where I am able to serve.

Thanks for the explanations, Di. I've heard people refer to them before and to me, it just doesn't sound right. Different cultures, I guess.

I just love you calling my little one Josie the Brave. Sounds so majestic and regal! LOL To answer your question, she's doing fine. Down for a nap. We had a big day of getting pictures taken and running a few errands (got Austin a new pair of boots!). I think she's working on her molars though...so she's a bit fussy. But her "bit fussy" is absolutely NO big deal since she's like the easiest going baby! Thanks for asking, Trish.

Aww, teething is no fun. It hurts.  Not that I remember what teething felt like at her age, but I do remember when I was getting my wisdom teeth coming through.  Give Josie the Brave a big cuddle for me, will you? And give the giraffe an extra tug from me. It still tickles me that that's her favourite toy. 
I remember looking after the teething babies in childcare. It's hard when you've got one teething, but multiple is even harder. Thankfully you don't have that problem. Their pink cheeks, the crying, and all the rest...
My evening's been ok. Spent some time in front of the idiot box, (TV), then played a game of UNO with John and Joan. It's been a tiring day. Was up a lot earlier than I normally am, and it's been a day where we've been go, go, go!

It sounds regal, but it fits! Josie was born with some issues that required her to have surgery ... how many little kids could endure all that at such a young age?
Currently fighting with the phone company to shave $5 off my DSL bill ...

Hey all!
Today I figured out why the work email wasn't working... yay!
I love hearing about all that's happenin' with you guys... how did the pics turn out, Tammy? I can't wait to see them!!!
I was always bad at taking pictures of my kids.... it seemed like life was always getting in the way... now we have a groovey digital camera and a printer... :D
I just bought some cheap picture frames the other day at walmart... I'm planning on doing a grouping of different 'family' pictures... my mom wasn't big on pictures ... we never had any hanging up at home... I think I'm going to break the tradition!  (Rach says at the ripe ole age of 40!!!  )
Do you guys have family pictures on your walls??

Hey Rach how did I miss you here? Very cool about the pictures......
I have several pictures of mine enlarged and framed but that was before digital camera...now I never get around to printing any out......sometimes I miss using my old slr.
Hey Sam.......it is nice to see you here. I hope you stop by more often. I miss you posting in singles.

We haven't got any family photos on the walls. I've given Joan some photo frames though, and she's got them around the place with pictures of friends and family.

Joy, the people who live with me, John and Joan, are like my spiritual parents. They're actually closer to me than my real family are. So they're friends and family.

I don't have family photos on the wall ... my mom did but we took them down before she died when we painted the walls, and they just never went back up. I do have Jesus on my wall, however, and a painting that came from Home Interiors with a scripture on it. And my great niece is my desktop pattern at work.
I have AT&T's DSL ... they sent me an e-mail offering me a $14.99 rate. Funny that they raised my rate from $14.99 to $19.99. Yesterday I was on the phone with them for 30 minutes before I gave up. Grrrrr!!!

Speaking of spiritual parents.......well not really spiritual but differently mentoring parents............I had the most wonderful night tonight.
My friend wanted to meet two friends from Montana who stopped by on their way to the east coast.
Though I had heard so much about the couple, with everything else going on in my life, I really didn't want to go but agreed to dinner to at least meet them. I knew it was important to my friend.
I have the most enjoyable evening..........
My friend did not even have to lead the conversation because the connection between myself and the couple was instant.
They are amazing.......
I could ramble on and on but I don't want to make too long of a post here........I will post more on smile.....for they really made me smile.
Going into the evening I would never have realized how much an impression this couple would make on me.
I know it sounds weird but with them I felt like I was seeing me 30 years from now.........silly I know......I can't explain.
Anyway I hope everyone has a wonderful evening

I had a great weekend...........
Sky had a birthday party which was a blast............
Sunday church was awesome..........

I had a breakfast gathering Saturday morning, then worked Saturday afternoon. After that I had a less than fruitful shopping experience. That was pretty much my weekend.
