Being Canadian I am a Hugh Hockey Fan and Canucks Fan as well. Intersting that the Nucks picked Loungo as their Captain. First Time in 60 years a goalie has been Captain

I like hockey, but don't really follow the NHL or know the players. I prefer to follow the college hockey instead. When will that start up?

The Sharks open the season against the Ducks on Thursday. After watching the sorry state of football and baseball in these parts, the Shark Tank is the place to be

Although I cannot stand to watch it on TV, I love live hockey. There's a city an hour away that has a pretty good minor league team and I plan on going to a Nashville Predators game in December.

The Canes unveil their third jersey next Monday night against the Wings. This Friday they open the season against the much hated Kitty-Kats.
I have a mini-plan in which I get to go to thirty home games.

Big questions remain. Can Cam Ward live up to the potential he showed during the Cup run and after two mediocre seasons. Is the Canes' defense improved so Cam isn't left "high and dry" too often. Is Lavi on the short leash after two seasons of not making the playoffs? If the Canes fail to make the playoffs again will Stormy become 'cue?

Go Ducks!! TEEEEMOOOOO!

Both teams have a sad opening night record (less than 0.500). It'll be interesting to see how Blake helps your blue line. Both goalies are pretty good. But they are always good games!

The Canes open against the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year. The Canes and Kitty-kats have a mutual dislike thing going on for several years. The question will be: when will the first fight occur and who will drop the gloves?

What happens when you put a Duck in a Shark tank?

A tank full of feathers!

That one's for you chemdude!

BTW, I see Sarah "I can skin a polar bear while getting my kids to school on time" Palin is dropping the puck at the Flyers opener. Flyers fans better get there early so they can be strip searched at the door. I wonder if "the Ultimate Hockey Mom" knows who won last years Cup or will she have to get back to us with the answer.... if she chooses to answer the question at all!

I have cable this year! I have Fox Sports Ohio!! I even get the Road Apple Network- er Vs. or whatever it is called - not that I have any clue yet what channel!!! I'm watching Columbus and Phoenix right now!

Speaking of CBJ us fans today are truly wimpy. Columbus should be burning ala Montreal 1955 for that garbage no call Friday night and Peca getting that indefinate suspension.

The Cardiac Canes are back. Last night they fell behind the Kats 0-2 and eventually won the game 6-4. Tonight in Tampa they fell behind the Bolts 0-3 and came back to win it in OT 4-3. The Bolts gollie kept them in it or the Canes would of one it in regulation. Can't fall behind the Wings on Monday and expect another comeback. The Canes unveil their new jersery so I it gives them some added mojo.

Canuck Land is a very happy place right now. The Canucks have won their first two games but against one team. Hope this is what the season is going to look like for us.

The Canes played the Wings last night. Good game even though the Canes lost 3-1. (last goal an empty net one). Ruutu missed a open net. Both Wings goals on the PP. Can't take silly penalties againt the Wings.

(Now the Canes are off an extended road trip while the NC State Fair takes up residence near the RBC Center. Several years ago the officials made the mistake of scheduling an NC State football game in the afternoon and a Canes game in the evening on the opening Saturday of the Fair.)

Going to need to take no-dooze to stay up for Friday's game againt LA.

At least it'll be worth the lack of sleep for you. That's a guaranteed win against the LA Queens (or was that Kings?)

Watched the Pens play the Flyers tonight. Satan -pronounced shawtan for those who don't follow hockey - is continuing his career with the Pens.

While I am not a fan of him or any of the many NHL team for which he has played, I would love to wear a SATAN jersey to church just to see the reaction I would get from non-hockey fans. I can imagine The Church Lady saying "Isn't that special."

I could almost see her up at the pulpit with a felt board and the letters S A T A N. She is looking at it and goes "well if you move the T over here by the A. Then you switch the N with the second A and my my what does that spell? SANTA!"

Sorry, I've just spent an hour and a half in a Miroslav Satanic heck with a friends computer. I'm going to tell him the next time his kid wants to look at dirty pictures to take it somewhere and pay the $50 an hour to get rid of the virus', patches and good luck on keeping the data.

I know. They played horable. Kinda wish they would play like they did against the Wings though. Glad the game was Pay Per View up here. Would of not been a good thanksgiving for me if I saw how they played. (Us in Canada celebrated thanksgiving on the 12).

They played well against the Wings in a win but coulden't get the job done in games against Buffalo and Chicago. Hope it is a better game tomarrio night against Columbis.
