Now, first, the one seven is already half over.

Nonsense.

[ORIGINAL: Retrobytercolor=#0000FF]Second, the fourth beast already exists.

Not yet.

ORIGINAL: Retrobyter Third, most of Matthew 24 was fulfilled in the pressure and the escape of believing Jews during the crisis of 70 C.E.

Ha! No, hardly all I'd say. While I agree we are in the beginning of birth pains nothing after 24:8 to the end of verse 14 has been accomplished in its full measure. Neither has anything in the parallel structure of Jesus' Discourse of verses 15 through 31 been accomplished.

quote:

ORIGINAL: Retrobyter Fourth, Dan. 9:24-27 is NOT about the "Antichrist" or the "Beast."

Yes it is.

quote:

ORIGINAL: Retrobyter Fifth, the term "Elect" is NOT about the "Church!" The term "Elect," the equivalent of God's "Chosen People" refers to the JEWS!

The Elect is synonymous with the Church. Matthew was written after the term "Christian" was conceived and Gentiles were part of the Church. The term Elect is used to address the Church throughout the NT.

quote:

ORIGINAL: Retrobyter Sixth, a "man of lawlessness" or a "man of sin" is a "MAN OF NO-TORAH!" He is one who denegrades the Torah and teaches others not to keep the Law of God!

No, he causes the Jewish sacrifices and law to be stopped. In its place, the false prophet erects the talking image of the Man of Perdition - Rev 13.

quote:

ORIGINAL: Retrobyter Seventh, the purpose for the "gathering up to Him" is to transport us--not to "Heaven" but to ISRAEL!

No, Jesus said in Mt 13 that the wheat is taken to the barn. In the parallel account of the Seals within Revelation, the Great Multitude appear in Heaven after the Day of the Lord.

We disagree about a good many things.

This has to be the most "obvious conclusion."

We know we can't ALL be right. But which one IS right?

If we can accept the fact that we could ALL be WRONG,
then we might be able to see a little clearer.

That's where I had to start out, acknowledging that we
can ALL be wrong. Now, the more I study, the more I'm
convinced we are. LOL.

I understand Scripture to actually 'SAY',

We are caught up in the air to meet Jesus in the air
and are ever with Him. {that's all it says, no more, no less}

Where is Jesus going when He returns.
To the Mount of Olives.
We have a Mount of Olives in my home town,
but I don't think that's where He is going. lol.

So, He returns and sets His feet on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.
We meet Him in the air and are ever with Him. In Jerusalem.

We just have to read it for what it actually says, Not read things
into it. Much easier reading that way.

Obviously. However, have you noticed how infrequently we conclude in that direction?

I believe the following: Not only do I believe we can't ALL be right, but maybe there is NO one position that is right! Maybe NONE of us is right! We will probably all have to eat a little crow!

I've had a lot of trouble understanding end times.
But, I also knew God would not write to us and not
expect us to understand what He wrote. I grew up
in AoG, so the confusion came from man-made doctrines,
not scripture.

ROFL. That's why the arguments never cease. lol.

I have to admit, it's not so obvious until it's obvious.
Like the illusion pictures. We can't see the picture.
But, when we see the picture, we can't see anything else.
