The entire Petrelli family needs some really, really serious therapy, amirite?

I think it's kind of cool that Sylar may have kind of sort of saved Peter's life though.

I didn't really get the "ick" factor with the Claire/Peter scene. I would certainly do what I could first-aid-wise if one of my uncles were seriously injured. Granted none of my uncles are as "supposedly attractive" as Peter (honestly I'm not really impressed with the guy, so I don't get it), but still. The guy fell like 5 stories out of a window, somebody had to at least make an attempt at some sort of first aid (though I'm not sure why she didn't just burn rubber to the nearest hospital).

I agree that Peter should've been examined by a doctor, but how to explain that he fell 5 stories and the only injuries appeared to be the ones from falling through glass?

Maybe some of the ick factor comes from the fact that the two actors are dating IRL, and are 12 years apart in age and playing the roles of niece/uncle?

A lot of folks I know prefer Nathan's looks to Peter's... or even Mohinder before he got all scaley.

I like the direction of Sylar's character. I mean, I don't like Sylar, and I think he's to easily manipulated and still very dangerous, but I enjoy what the writers are doing with him.

I guess I mostly try to retain a healthy disconnect between fiction and reality *shrug* I don't really see the characters' real life relationships as relevant to the story plot.

What, are people also going "eww, but he's your uncle" about their real life dating or something?

Honestly I've never really understood the "ga ga factor" for drooling over actors either, though, so I might just be weird that way. ;) Guess I'm way too analytical.

Well, for me, I don't really care that much about their IRL status or anything else. I suppose it amuses me, though. But even in Season 1 when they were not dating, I thought they had very good chemistry with each other.

As far as going gaga over actors? Well, I can appreciate that they look nice, but I'm aware enough to enjoy the wonderful man I have, so again ... it nothing more then silly fun for me, and doesn't really impact my life.

I wasn't even focusing on the real life situation when I saw that scene. I was just thinking, if I had to do that for one of my uncles, well,....ewww.

I was also thinking about how the Peter-Claire relationship has been depicted over the life of the series. She has never looked upon him as an "elder" or an uncle. She looks up to him, but more in a friend role than an uncle role. Peter may be close to 30, but he isn't a whole lot more mature than Claire, either.

I can't say the vibes are overwhelmingly physical, but there is sort of a soul mate thing being depicted there. Think of how they immediately bonded in season one. He's the only Petrelli she wholeheartedly trusts (with good reason, I think) and on his end, other than Nathan, she seems to be the person he cares most about in the world (other then being distracted by short term romantic entanglements - and hey, did he just forget about that Irish girl he left in the future or what?). And, if you want to get to Peter, you can certainly do it by using Claire (as Angela Petrelli knows).

If Sylar/Gabriel was Mrs. Petrelli's favorite, why did she give him up for adoption? Is it now that he can take on Daddy that he's all of a sudden the fav?

Why is it that Sylar being likable and the once likable Mohinder is a monster?

Why do we have to wait 2 WEEKS for the next one?!?

Meh, you'd be surprised at what you'd do if you really had to. I grew up on a farm so I learned basic triage really really early, because you had to be able to stabilize someone long enough for the 20 minute drive to the hospital (and people can get REALLY hurt working on a farm. Fortunately the worst thing I had to deal with by myself human-wise was probably when my mom sewed completely through her finger and I had to get the needle out, but I'm not even going to go into some of the stuff I've patched up for animals). So, the thought of patching up an uncle or other relative doesn't particularly bother me. I'd rather not, because I wouldn't want my uncle hurt, but if I needed to I'd deal with it. Besides, Claire has to be pretty good at daubing blood after all her "this is the fourty zillionth time I've tried to kill myself" video stunts.

We have to wait because SNL has to do some stupid election eve special instead of Heros.

I would SO rather watch Heros. Maybe I'll watch Dancing with the Stars for once.

What happened to the Black girl who worked at the fast food place who could do anything after watching. I was really hoping she'd be around more because she seems so sweet and her power is so totally cool!

Oh, no kidding! The "Saint Joan" girl was AWESOME! What DID happen to her?

Why are they forgetting all the cool people?

For that matter why am *I* forgetting all the cool people? >.> <.< I blame pregnancy.

I also didn't realize I'd be missing Chuck. *weeps inconsolably*

I don't watch much TV, but the Chuck/Heroes pairing is a must for dH and myself.

I think the reason why some of the characters are gone is all on the strike, like the direction of a lot of these shows changed. On the DVD for season two of Heroes, Peter was supposed to drop the vial with the virus, but the strike stopped that plot.
I think the Saint Joan girl could come back depending on how they deal with this Nikki's got two other sisters plot.
What I find interesting is that while Nathan's powers are generic, and Peter and Sylar have natural powers, both of the younger Petrelli boys have powers that are somehow similar to daddy's

I wonder if there's any chance Nathan is not biologically related to the other Petrelli boys... maybe a half brother?

Well the actor does look more like the actress playing Angella, while the actors playing Pete and Sylar look like a combo of the two. So who knows.

There was a decision made to try and keep things more tied in to the main plot this year, and with Niki gone, New Orleans would have been rather disconnected from the main story. Also, the cast has been somewhat paired down in attempt to keep the focus on the main characters.

^That makes since...especially since Noah Cabey (who played Nikki's son) is no longer a part of the show either...

St. Joan did have a cool power, though. With Mr. Petrelli and Sylar soaking up all the powers, it would be nice to have a good guy/gal with a similar ability...

Did you all watch the SNL Election 2008 last night that cancelled Heroes?

The solar eclipse caused alot of havoc. I wonder if Noah's going to kill Elle, thus setting Sylar off again?

The Haitian's brother is scary!!!

It was funny, at the beginning of the episode I actually said to dh, Kirsten Bell is still a guest star. I guess that means they'll be killing her off soon, especially if Sylar likes her. And by the end if the episode she has a gun pointed at her. I laughed pretty hard last week when she was zapping him so hard his shirt burned off and yet (thankfully) his pants are inflammable.

It's nice that everyone's abilities are gone. That shakes things up a bit. It was nice for Mr. Bennett to get some old-fashioned butt-kicking in.

Strangely, Hiro makes so much more sense as a 10 year old. One is much less annoyed with him.

I like having the Haitian back. I kinda missed him.

It's a contractual issue. I forget exactly what the deal was, but she was committed to some other project (tv, movie?) and couldn't film her scenes at the same time as the rest of the shooting, so they shot all of her stuff out of order - all at once, IIRC.

Or, Sylar could just do it himself!

I like this show, but things do feel all over the map. Bennet had Sylar in his sights when he was just kissing Elle, but he waited till after sex to try shooting him? And no one apparently thought that powers would come back as soon as the eclipse was over? They were sorta making that obvious when the two healers were dying. Bennet should've done more then simply slit Sylar's throat and walk away.

Hiro actually had some very good moves last night, popping in to pull Elle and Sylar out of the fight. If he can find a healer like Linderman, he can have his memories restored. I really enjoy the scenes at the comic book store.

But good gravy, haven't we been through this father issues with Clair before? It feels a little retread, though I do understand that in real families, children will sometimes get to a point of loving and trusting a parent who has hurt them before, only to be hurt all over again. One does wonder how her mom managed to sneak her out of the hospital with the police there. It's not like the hospital doesn't know where she lives. I'm assuming they had to fill out paperwork at some point.
