I can't wait for tonight! With Sylar back, there will be no dull moments! Side note: it was weird seeing him on "24" and a "Touched By An Angel" epi!

Oh good, I'm glad you didn't spoil it. When I saw someone posted, I couldn't help myself. I'm on the west coast, so it hasn't started yet for me. I'm excited!

They have not lost their touch. I thoroughly enjoyed the dual episode.

Plus, CHUCK comes back next week! Glee!

Getting a little OT here, but next week's Chuck episode is available for free on iTunes.

How did I feel about the show? Mixed feelings, but better than last season. Is it ok to discuss specifics today (Tuesday)?

I could only stay up to watch half of the episode last night. Can't wait to finish it tonight! Chat away though, I don't want my own need for sleep keep others from discussion.

I was irritated with the whole "red carpet" deal before hand.

I didn't watch the red carpet thing...what was it about?

Last night's episodes were so good! I'm glad Sylar is in that cell, I hope he doesn't cause problems anytime soon. So, what's up with Patrelli mom saying she was Sylar's mom too. I hope she doesn't let him out or something.

I really hope Ando doesn't betray his buddy Hiro.

Oh, OK, so I missed something last season I think. How did Nicky get to be the political advisor? And, how come she has forgotten her old life?

Last we saw of Niki/Jessica last season, she was in an exploding building. I'm guessing they'll fill in those gaps during the season.

The red carpet thing- just annoying hype up to the show. I liked the recaps of characters and plot points but all the "interviews" and "aren't we great, look at all our fans" junk got very tiring.

With the "new Niki" turning that guy into ice - dh thinks it did have something to do with the fire and she somehow found this new power and survived it by turning to ice or something. But apparently she doesn't remember being Niki at all - so did she just wake up one day after the fire this new person? Weird.

Given the timing, I don't think it's Niki (the events beginning in last night's two episodes happen immediately after the events in last season's finale). I think it's her supposedly dead twin sister. Which is really freaky considering how her and Nathan are being thrown together.

I missed bits and pieces from last night (had to pick up my daughter at dance practice) but I saw most of it.

Future Claire is very bitter and twisted. And what is it with all the Peter/Claire stuff? Is it that 1) they didn't have any interaction last year? 2) their interaction in the first season was well-received? 3) Milo and Hayden wanted more scenes together? and/or 4) maybe there's lots of foreshadowing going on and we'll find out that someone like immortal-guy Adam is actually Claire's dad, allowing her to get together with Peter? I suppose that would make sense because Claire does not look like a Peterelli...at all. But the writers need to be very careful about overplaying the secret children angle because it's already on overload with that plot.

And who was future Claire slicing into, in the previews...was that Peter or Sylar?

And speaking of secret children...is Sylar REALLY Peter's and Nathan's brother?

Mohendier as The Fly. Ick. Knew something bad was going to happen.

Why does Hiro not trust Ando? I imagine that's one of the bits I missed.

Hiro went into the future to see what would happen if he let the speedster girl keep the other half of the formula from Hiro's dad's safe. In the future he saw Tokyo being overtaken by explosive-like smoke and everyone running. He saw Ando with powers trying to take the formula back from Hiro, and when Hiro wouldn't give it to him, Ando used his powers to kill Hiro.

OK...definitely missed that part.

It occurred to me that this show has got to really move on from something. Our "heroes" are some of the stupidest people imaginable. Peter! How many times will you mess with the space-time continuum before you realize that every thing you do in the past messes things up even more? Hiro...ditto! Mohinder...using yourself as a guinea pig? Claire...yeah, you're different. Get over it.

I feel bad for her though. She is, after all, a teenager. It must really suck to be her.

Great points! In order to save his "girlfriend", Peter unleashes Sylar on Claire! I don't trust Mrs. Petrelli...it seems like she is bent on destroying the world. Reminds me of the X-Men's Magneto in trying to create a super race and get rid of mere mortals!

That was weird that Nathan is the only one seeing Linderman!

Mohinder is an idiot for testing himself without experimenting on animals. You have to count the cost before taking on the unknown!

I wonder how Claire's mom plays into this...

How is Peter gonna pull off being in someone else's body? I was wondering why this big guy's yelling, "I'm Peter Petrelli!"

Hiro has met his match in speed girl...

The new Nikki is ice cold!

I feel for Myra and all Mohinder does is take advantage of her!

Yeah, Mihinder got way to greedy, and it cloudeed his better judgement. And, with all the self confidence he got and that skimpy outfit Maya was wearing.....well they were both asking for it!

Peter ALWAYS seems to be messing up.

And, well, let's add Maya to the dumb list, because she makes such good judgments regarding men.

I'm sad to say that Heroes didn't do so well in the overnight ratings. Down from 14 last year to 9 this year. Perhaps the Chuck/Heroes combo will pull things up more. OTOH, the general public is likely going to find Dancing with the Stars and the CBS comedies more to their liking.

While I hope Heroes is around for another two seasons, it may not be such a bad thing if Heroes only lasts for another year after this, though.

I really liked it. But it seems that Hiro always creates his own future. Before when he went back in time, he met Adam, whom Hiro thought was his childhood hero and MADE him into a hero to reflect history. Now he's doing the same thing with Ando. I see Ando begining to change into a villian b/c Hiro is just being nasty to him, not trusting him when Ando's done nothing. you'd think Hiro would grow up some, but he still lives in a comic book world.

I too wonder if Nicki/Jessica has lost her memory. But I don't remember her having powers that could turn others into ice. And I wonder how Present Peter will fare being with the criminals and what he'll do about future Peter. And is Mrs. Petrelli really Skyler's real mom??? I too believe she's really a bad guy in disguise. And where will Ell go now that daddy's dead?? The plot thickens and it's only the first week!! And what about the Doc? Now he's turning into the Hulk with the green skin and all. Everyone warned him not to inject himself with the superhuman serium.

The concept for this show is great, but the execution is really, really poor. The dialog is bad, the acting is terrible (particularly Peter and Sylar) and the plot lines are so contrived it's almost insulting. I can handle Hiro being silly, because he's the comic relief, but Mohinder was at least supposed to be serious and for him to suddenly throw caution to the wind on the chance that his powers might not kill a bunch of people...

Greg Beeman says on his blog that Niki is really and truly dead. (turned to white text for those who might consider this a spoiler - just highlight with your mouse to read).
