I met Steve at an Insyderz concert when he was running Squint. Chevelle played that show and I think he was scouting them because they were signed to Squint shortly thereafter. He signed a friend's pants.

It's too bad Squint went belly up. My friends L.A. Symphony had to wait a while to record after their original project was shelved.
