I didn't understand why he had to shoot her. I guess his aim wasn't as good because of his finger, but he could have shot toward her right shoulder and been at chest level for the creep. I know they wanted a dramatic ending, but it didn't seem to fit as far as I could tell.

Wow and double Wow. Pretty intense.

Gibbs and Lee both knew Lee was going away for life because she killed 2 people. Lee set up Langer to die, and that was so wrong. She took innocent lives to go along with the blackmailer. Lee was signaling Gibbs to just shoot her too. She knew the bullets would go through. She had no where to go but prison. The blackmailer could have killed more before they got him.

Gibbs was right, she should have went to him in the beginning, and Langer would not have been murdered by her. You know Abby, Tony and the bunch would have totally figured it out and helped Lee if she had gone to them in the beginning.

If they hadn't had her caught, I think Lee would have killed more agents to keep her little adopted sister alive. She wasn't honest about the girl being her daughter either. Lee would have never made a good special agent, IMO.

NCIS on all day today on USA. They are doing this allot. I have to be sure my recorder doesn't get too full. It will record all the ones I don't already have on it, but there is only 100 hours.

Yea, Gibbs mentioned that Lee killed 2 people. Who was the other one?

Lee actually nodded as soon as she heard that Amanda was okay. She probably figured that if Amanda was okay, she didn't have to fight anymore.

I suspected the "pickup man" as soon as they set up the meeting. Remember that Tony was texting with the Weatherman, then, as soon as the appointment was made, Tony put down the phone and the "pickup man" picked it up and began typing. I was thinking that he might be in cahoots with the Weatherman, and was tipping him off about the trap.

Wonder if Gibbs and McGee will get disciplined for hacking and stealing Domino.

They hacked, but they didn't steal...not really.

I'd heard of a case like this IRL and if you can 'prove' it wasn't in any way accessed/copied, it's not as serious- and since it never left Vance's office, that wouldn't be all that hard to do...

I can't tell whether or not we are supposed to like Leon. I do. He tries to be gruff and strict, but as we saw with Abby, he really isn't so bad. I think he will be good about giving Gibbs as much leeway as he needs. I don't think he will even reprimand Gibbs and McGee. I already like him much more than I did Jenny.

I could dislike him and still like him more than that red-headed snippet....

Hey hey hey!!! lay off the redhead comments

Jenny would've been just as annoying if she were a blonde or brunette, but Jethro seems to have a "thing" for redheads (much to my enjoyment) so if he and Jenny had a past, she needed to be a redhead.

ok...back to the show

Okay, be honest. Did anybody suspect the neighbor? I only started to when Gibbs and McGee showed up at the guy's house the second time and the "concerned neighbor" showed up.

No, I didn't. Knowing NCIS' writers, I should have, though - the neighborhood watch coming over should've been a first clue since nothing is superfluous on the show!

A couple things:

1) We determined that the fight club ultimately had nothing to do with the murder.

2) Question: WHY did the neighbor kill the rich guy? The rich guy had already killed who he thought was the blackmailer, so it's not like he was in danger. We have come to the conclusion that that is one of those unexplained loose ends that NCIS often has.

My first thought was: okay, what do these guys have to do with the murder? As you said, "nothing is superfluous on the show." I knew eventually something would come back to one of the guys (or the girl) - maybe a clue and questioning or something.

Yeah, the fight club episode was pretty hard to understand. The neighbor was a leach. He found out about it and decided to cash in on the blackmailing money. I have it recorded, and I am going to watch it again. I didn't think the fight club idea was too bright. The best friends should have just refused to fight each other.

Tuesdays episode was good. Ducky and the archeology pun, getting a body out of cement. Really a long twist to that one. Guy stealing copper wire, guy defends himself, guy found had been drilling cement, find body, on and on. Pretty good.

Loved the ending when he said 'I did not get out of my car!' Way to go Mr Palmer.

We didn't watch Tuesday because we had already seen it. Is the season over already, or was there a rerun this week for a "good" reason?

Tricia, December is pretty dead for tv shows, they usually do reruns because of the holidays. They figure no one is watching. All of the shows I watch are in hiatus until Jan.

The week after that, according to cbs, is a repeat, the one where Gibbs meets his daughter's friend and tries to help her.

I found an interesting article about Bellisario's departure.

NCIS is so great, I can't imagine a spin-off, but here's news of one. Is this for real? It sounds like they will leave the NCIS present cast the way it is.

NCIS spinoff

NCIS was a spin off of JAG, which had very little overlap in characters (like the SVU and CI spin offs of Law & Order or the NY and Miami spin offs of CSI)

One question would be who produces the show? NCIS supposedly broke with Bellasario half way thru last season but I still see his name all over it.

If the writing and characters are good, bring it on.

Maybe I'm from the "old school" or "outer space," but doesn't a spinoff usually contain at least one semi-regular or regular from the original series? I didn't see any names I recognized in the list of characters.

I don't know if I'll watch it or not. I tend to take each show on its own merit. Sometimes I like a spinoff, sometimes I don't. I'll most likely check it out if it happens, and go from there.

If you read the link I have in my last post, there is an article that addresses this. It basically says his name is still on it but he has nothing to do with it.

According to the article, filming for the spinoff pilot won't start until February. They still have time with the current show to introduce some of these characters with an upcoming case to air in the spring before the pilot.

CBS could do what they did with CSI: Vegas/Miami and Miami/New York with the cross over episodes. Like I did with watching all CSI shows, I will start watching the spinoff of NCIS. I have since lost interest in Miami and New York, but still try to catch Vegas when I can.

As I previously posted, I just started watching NCIS this year and will continue to watch it. I am trying to watch all of the old episodes on USA by recording them every time they are on and watching when I can. Wouldn't you know of the 3 episodes that were on USA yesterday, my wife stopped the recording in the middle of the only one that I did not see before.

Not really. NCIS was a spin-off of Jag but had no characters in common. To start the series, Gibbs, Dinozzo and Ducky showed up in JAG to investigate Harm who was accused of murder. Bud showed up in an NCIS episode as a defense lawyer before Jag went off the air.
