It's quiet around here ... why??? Has nobody consumed any tea in the past 6 days??? (Or been in the presence of someone who has??)

magdaleine -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (9/22/2008 10:56:14 PM)

I've had tea every day. This morning it was Darjeeling loose leaf. Yesterday it was a glass of "iced tea" made from powder (church meal). The day before I started off with Twinings Earl Grey and shifted to Higgins & Burke Apple Cinnamon herbal.

BlessedAngel1983 -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (9/22/2008 10:57:50 PM)

Ummm i've had tea twice today.

I had peppermint earlier. Then some orange spice. I'm thinking of making another cup, not sure what flavor though.

PopsiLufsJesus -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (9/22/2008 10:59:07 PM)

I had Raspberry Nestea at Arby's today...

ladyichigo -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (9/24/2008 10:22:21 PM)

I love Japanese Green Tea. The darker green, the better.

I like Twinings Earl Grey and Darjeeling.

There's a Maple Tea from Canada I like, but I forgot the brand. It comes in wooden box with different colored maple leaves painted on the box. The lid of the box is tightly fitted, and it slides open.

I usually like my teas hot, but I my favorite iced tea is, plantation iced tea. :) It's brewed black tea mixed with some cane sugar and pineapple juice.

Oh, and sometimes, I like the bottled Apple Tea from ITOEN.

BlessedAngel1983 -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (9/24/2008 10:30:37 PM)

I have become a tea addict!

PopsiLufsJesus -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (9/24/2008 11:00:58 PM)

Hey Karaboo!

A tea addict I am not...

ladyichigo -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (9/25/2008 3:13:27 PM)

I should've looked for this thread earlier.

I'm a part-time tea junkie. Sometimes I have a yearning for coffee, so I switch every now and then. I still love tea more than coffee though...definitely.

In fact, I think I will pour me a cup of darjeeling right now.

Karaboo2 -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (9/25/2008 8:34:20 PM)

Ooh ...pour me one too!!!

ladyichigo -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (9/25/2008 9:24:59 PM)

D'oh....I looked in the cupboard at work (cuz that's where I am right now) and I was out of darjeeling. [:(]

So, I poured me cup of steaming hot Japanese Green Tea. [:)]

I read a story about a political candidate who won the election by exposing his opponent as a tea drinker.

magdaleine -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (10/2/2008 12:22:07 AM)

That would have been in the early years of the US, I'm thinking.

Kerrlaw -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (10/2/2008 12:52:55 AM)

No, it was modern times. I don't remember the details, but both were at an early morning debate in a small town. Everyone was holding a coffee cup, and one candidate looked in the other's cup and said: "He's drinking tea."

It turned the tide. I guess the idea was that the tea drinker must be an elitist.[sm=nosestuckup.gif]

magdaleine -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (10/2/2008 1:05:04 AM)

Sheesh! That's insane!

Karaboo2 -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (10/2/2008 7:44:20 AM)

That's one for the trivia files ... :D (Although it just reconfirms for me that political campaigns can be *really* pathetic!!)

Picked up a box of Earl Grey with a hint of vanilla ... figured I was due to try a new tea seeing as it's a new month. [:D]

BlessedAngel1983 -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (10/2/2008 10:24:09 AM)

I finished off the Orange Spice tea.

I've been drinking Earl Grey or English Breakfast as of late.

Karaboo2 -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (10/19/2008 11:17:32 PM)

Tim Horton's here in Canada has started serving pumpkin tea for the harvest season. I've tried it once so far ... and found it to be [:'(]. I had it with a bit of milk and sugar. I think I'll try it once more before completely writing it off, but this time I'll take some honey with me to sweeten it (and skip the milk, too)

faroukfarouk -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (10/20/2008 12:32:05 AM)

We took tea bags on vacation.

magdaleine -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (10/20/2008 6:41:24 AM)

I always carry tea with me when I travel. It's one of those essentials in life you know.

faroukfarouk -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (10/20/2008 8:03:53 AM)

m: Exactly. (Boston Tea Party notwithstanding...)

Such a waste of good tea, that party!

faroukfarouk -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (10/20/2008 9:14:58 AM)

magdaleine:

Anyway, I can't drink coffee because it interferes with my medication...

Tea is it!! understand?

Interesting that coffee would interfere but tea would not. I'm having heartburn issues, despite my meds for it and so, sadly, I'm having to temporarily forgo black teas. I've got ginger tea going because ginger is supposed to have stomach-settling properties.

faroukfarouk -> RE: Tea Drinkers Anonymous (10/20/2008 12:45:54 PM)

Hey Maggie, how are you doing.

Yes tea does have caffeine as well as coffee, but it has less than coffee does. I have been on blood pressure meds. for years, and I get along okay with tea but not with coffee.

(Make any sense?)

Take care.
