My parents had that rule too, but decided to lift it when they met my first boyfriend. I learned a lot from that relationship, so it worked out great.

I was 17 (he was 18 or 19) when I had my first boyfriend we where the only teens at our church. I totally had a crush on him and so did a friend of mine that was 6 1/2 years younger than me. Well she lefted our church and I guess you can say over a falling out kinda. And a couple of months later me and him started to talk more and hang out. Then started to date. About six months later I had to move away. That is when she dated him ... I was a little mad at first but I got over it ....I'm sure she was mad at me too for dating him. He was also my first kiss. I wanted to wait but was talked out of it.
Then I had my second boyfriend at age 18 and I guess you can say third at 21. And in between 18-21 I dated my first one again long distance for awhile .... didn't work out.
But now at age 22 I'm still waiting for my prince to come .......

Before I answer the thread question, I have to get this out... Royal.Fortress, your daughter is so SO cute!!! Just looking at your avvy makes me smile! I just noticed that you're a fellow Ontarian, so I'm comforted knowing that I'm not alone. 
Okay, sorry, I'll be on topic now!! I'm almost 17, a senior in highschool, and I've never had a boyfriend. It seems as if most people start dating at around 14, so sometimes I feel as though there's something wrong with me, that no one's ever asked me out.... but I suppose it's all for the best, really.

No, you are not weird. I did not date during jr high & high school. To be honest, even with I with guys, I was not dating guys. :( I was a mess.
I also did not date once I gave my life to God at 20. I was 29 before i thought about dating. When my mom was dying, I thought, no one would be at the hospital is I was dying, maybe I should date and get married. LOL!
Then I went on dates, and I had a "boyfriend" for 1 year that just about killed me emotionally. We enver talked or had a real relationship.
A few months after that, I met my husband and that was really my first dating experience.
In all my experience, I think the less you give yourself to different people, the better. Because when the real thing comes along, you might be too messed up from all the toads you kissed.
Just my opinion.

I was 14 when i had my first real boyfriend but my first boyfriend that was just kid stuff like at school was third grade. I wish my husband was my first boyfriend though.

I was 16 when me and my first boyfriend, started dating. I was 21 when we got married. I am 25 now, and happier than ever with him....

The longest 'relationship' I was in before my husband was only 3 months, so yeah ... it's not like they were 'real' relationships, I just loved having a boyfriend!
