To dip in a Frosty, that is why french fries were invented.

I have no idea where I got the idea, but all my life, I've dipped my Wendy's fries in my Frosty.

Apparently, it is not the commonplace practice I'd thought it was.

Or is it?

It's a very popular thing to do here. Most everyone I know goes to Wendy's specifically to get that combination. I still think it's gross.

It's the only thing I ever get! We're usually on the road - Wendy's is the only fast food place I'll agree to stop at. And I always end up getting a little fry and Frosty. Mostly because there's not much else on the menu I'll eat.

It's so good!

Though, I can't imagine eating a baked potato with a scoop of chocolate ice cream on it. Don't know what it is!

No, I don't, but I don't think it's gross. Go for it. When I'm at Wendy's I go for the chili. Wendy's makes great chili.

It's the only way I can stomach Wendy's fries. Wendy's fries are waaaay too fat (size-wise) ... McDonald's fries rock!
We don't do fast food much anymore, but when we do, I am usually outnumbered so Wendy's it is, and dipping is most accepted here in our household.

i heard about it a few years ago on a different message board and some people rave about it, others try it and like it, but it's just okay to me ... i try it occasionally but it's not something i'm like WOW about ... i don't think it's disgusting, i just don't taste the appeal ...

I thought I remembered them being pretty big, from childhood (I don't like them big, like steak fries) but the past few times, they weren't as wide. Of course, a lot of things from childhood are smaller now.

I've heard of it but never tried it myself. The combination doesn't sound appealing but I wouldn't say it's gross either. I don't ever get a frosty but if I did I wouldn't be opposed to giving it a try just to see.

Wendy's fries aren't as big as steak fries but bigger than McD/BK

I love the salty sweet combination although I've never done this combination. I've dipped pretzels in ice cream. I love chocolate covered pretzels. Other sweet/salty things.

Wendy's fries are gross. I don't like "fat" fries, I like skinny, crispy fries. The best ones are from Steak & Shake.

I do like Frosty's though--although I like them best "fry-less"!

Fries and (chocolate) frosties is an amazing combination.

It's like the salty combined with sweet combo I think...

oooooooh...

this started for me when I was a teenager, in McDonald's, with a milkshake. We almost never ever got milkshakes, but this one time my mom agreed. I dipped my fry in it, and so did my cousin. Not sure if she still likes the combo, but I certainly do.

I moved on from McD's to Wendy's because I love love love LOVE their fries, and I love the frosty too.. so it was a natural move for me. =) I usually get the spicy chicken sandwich, fries, and frosty. (note that "usually" is probably not more than 4-6 times per year) We usually also bring it home, since they are very very close by, and then I drizzle honey on my chicken sandwich... I guess I like the spicy/sweet combo as well. =)

It's very popular here, but I think it's gross. I just don't like fries soggy, sweetened, or cooled off.

I do like Wendy's fries and Frostys, and have eaten them in the same sitting, but not the same bite!

ah, Karlie... but if you do it right, your fry stays hot, but the frosty stays cold, and the fry never gets "soggy". =) And the fry itself stays sort of salty... although, you know, maybe it's because I don't dip the entire fry... just a part of it, so part of it stays hot and salty. =)

You have to be kinda quick though. =)

I know a lot of people who do this, though do not do it myself. I like the fries and I like the frosties, but I prefer to consume seperately.

No, it stays hot and such. Dipping cold fries would be gross.

I just don't like ice cream as a dipping sauce, I guess. But, I'd sure love a frosty right now!

I do it too!! In fact, last year when I had a horrible ear infection that was just killing me, that was my *comfort food.*

Didn't make the pain go away, but it sure tasted good!

I don't dip the fries in frostys, but I sometimes dip them in the sweet and sour sauce.

Yum Yum. I use to do it with McDonalds shakes and fries when I was younger.

I know many people who do enjoy that combination together, but I don't. It's never had an appeal to me. I love Wendy's french fries and I love their frosties, but I very much prefer to enjoy the tastes separately!

I find that lots of things from childhood are larger now. Much larger. Larger and heading south. Unfortunately, they are things I tote around on my body...

I have never heard of dipping fries in frosties. Maybe I am just too old

After declaring that it sounded disgusting, a friend convinced me to try it... and then I declared its disgustingness even louder.

It made the fries taste like cardboard.
