I already have it... I bought it almost as soon as it came out. The new Minelab E-TRAC and I love it, it is awesome. http://www.minelab.com/consumer/page.php?section=272&pId=25&pNm=E-Trac&x=y I sometimes have a "toy problem" I did sell one machine but I still have 6 detectors. A SovereignGT, an Explorer SE, the E-TRAC, a Tesoro Cortes, a Tesoro Tejon , and a Teknetics T2... yes I intend to sell two of them but I am lazy. I also have two Stratocasters, two Les Pauls, and assorted other guitars and a room full of amps, now if I can find some "virtual talent" i'll be all set! I figure it will take me three years of digging coins to pay for the E-TRAC... I average 1.14 an hour but seriously, I hunt and dig Civil War relics most of the time. It is a great hobby! Then if I get frustrated I grab a Strat and plug in and... annoy the neighbors. Julien

Sears has an high-torque impact wrench on sale for about $20, and Staples has an MP3 player for about $10.

I'm wanting to get a good reciprocating saw. My wife & I have always lived in houses we rebuild & tun for a profit, and this is one thing I've just never picked up. I could go buy a DeWalt at Home Depot for about $90, and I could afford to. But I'm kind of a cheap-wad, and haven't quite brought myself to say, "I know I don't need this at the moment, but I'm getting it anyway."

Yeah, I tend to hold off on buying tools untill I need them as well. I bought my reciprocating saw when I was hanging the very last door on the basement I had been finishing for months (four rooms, a pair of french doors, ceilings, dry wall, and all the wiring and such) when I realized that the door opening was 1/2 an inch too small. Now this was a basement that had cost me a front tooth, and stiches on my third finger from spinning a piece of sheet metal on a drill, so I was pretty much fed up wth working on it, and it was sooooo close to being finished. I marched upstairs and said to my wife in the calmest voice I could muster, "I am going to be a sawzall now, and I do not want to hear complaints about how much it costs..." It worked great, and I have used it often since. Just yesterday, actually.

I usually have one order every two weeks coming in with more stuff for my shooting sports. More gadgets than you can imagine for handloading and widgets for trapshooting. I am looking for a Ipod though I think it's kinda funny for a 60 year old but i do like my music.

I just ordered a set of wireless Sony headphones. I got them through a program at work by cashing in some star performer awards through an awards and recognition program. Now I won't annoy my daughter when I crank up my Skynard.

I try and keep my gadgets categorized by usefullness. If I think I need it, I sit back and figure out how much I will use it in the future and then figure how much it would be worth to me. I like my tools, but I tend to hold off buying new ones until I can afford a better quality or the need it too great to offset the wait. Then there is the time investment. If it will save me a half a days worth of work, frustration, or whatever.. it is worth its weight in gold!!! I truly hate struggling with a project when I know there is a tool out there that can make it easier.
