Tracydolls i really hope you learn more about the bible and what a true Christian is soon. I fear that you are listening to the wrong people. Ya know the other day when you wrote about Hurricane Gustav being a sign from God that he is against the Reublicans...? Guess who else said that? Michael Moore. An atheist. Im not saying YOU are one, because i know you arent, but i think you are being possibly influenced by people outside of your realm.

Earlier Swedish said that Barak built himself up from nothing. Wow, that really is Divine. Seriously though, how did he afford to go to Columbia and Harvard?

I read the Army Times last July I believe and Obama wants to undo "Don't ask don't tell don't pursue" and allow openly homosexuals to join the military. Apart from his lack of experience in military endeavors...No!!

tracy, Fox News will have an "embedded" reporter traveling with Palin for the next week or so. Hopefully we'll hear something from Palin about her faith and/or God. So, be patient my friend. Oh goody is it gonna be Sean Hannity? You want to know something about her faith? I have something about her faith in a speech that she gave at her church. "Our national leaders are sending them out (to Iraq) on a task that is….from God." Sarah Palin: Iraq is a task from God We are in a holy war! FreddieD

Freddie I heard a testimony about a young Iraqi who stated that before the invasion he never felt the presence of God after the invasion he was able to accept Jesus into his heart because they aren't in hiding and he stated that he now feels the presence of God. Something good is going on there.

Well, if you listen to the rest of it (oh wait, you don't have the rest of it, just a strategically edited clip on youtube which has highlighted text so gullible lefties will swallow it) but the rest says, - "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan.". Unless you don't think we should consult God concerning Iraq, or don't think such plans should include God's desires, this is hardly a controversial prayer. Though I suppose there might be the occasional person that might think God won't answer any prayers concerning our men and women overseas - but I don't really care what those folks think.

Something good is going on there. We are not on a crusade. We don’t start wars to further any religion because we don’t live under a theocracy. War is serious business and off the cuff remarks by a person who is petitioning to be world leader should be taken seriously. When it is not it makes this country a joke. FreddieD

He will be on LKL tonight so we will see. Also as mentioned on that thread your talking about Chrisitans asked Jesus about this same thing. I gave you the Scriptures then. in Luke. What is a True Christian--one that lines up with the rightwingers? Or one that TRYS to follow Christ and what He stood for? The Bible that I read says a LEAF does not fall to the ground without G-d knowing. the Hurricane helped Mccain, he was able to CANCEL the Bush Speech.

FreddieD We didn't go to war to advance religion. We went to war to advance liberty and freedom by defeating evil and tyranny. It just so happens that a byproduct of liberty and freedom is formerly oppressed people choosing to have faith in Jesus without threat of death. To put it in words my other Italian brothers and sisters can understand: Saddam needed ta be whacked and we whacked 'em. Now our Arab pisons don't get da cement shoes for following Padre, capisce?

ORIGINAL: huskarine i am sorry to ask, but what is so important about the fact that the McCain's own so many houses??? don't all the rich own multiple properties??? clinton's included??? (trying to be fair in the questioning)... I am choosing to support McCain and Palin because their lives show the fruit of the Gospel. They don't necessarily have to talk about it. In a private forum, it might be more plausible, especially if they were willing (which i bet they would be happy to)... but St. Francis of Assisi proposed for us to declare the Gospel to the world and use words if necessary. i can see the history of McCain and Palin in this matter of their fruit. and believe me, this is objective: there is not enough history to declare Barack Obama as a christian (saying that there isn't much fruit of it since the time he has been in office, going up to his time in the state senate) remember, faith without works is dead. Well, I was just poking a little fun. However, in that respect, McCain seems pretty far removed from the rest of us; and either him or one of his staff dismissed peoples concerns over the economy. So, in that respect - I guess if you do own 8 houses, then the economy probably is pretty darn good! Peace and God bless,

FreddieD You are ignorant regarding debating terms. That is "ad hominem". Ad hominem refers to an attack on personal character rather than answering an argument. Jack's answer to your argument was to point out that you failed to use a full quote, and therefore performed a left-handed spin.

Here's the scoop on John Kerry's houses here Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, John Edwards the Clinton's all have multiple homes and are worth millions, yet we do not hear anything when they state they are more in touch with the poor. The whole house thing is just plain goofy ... irrelevant ... and hypocritical for those who are making a big fuss over it.

In comparison to Obama, who started from very modest means to get where he is; and Joe Biden who also came from a working middle class family - to me, this is VERY relevant. Last time I heard, McCain was not running against any of those you mentioned. Peace and God bless,
