Father we lift up George and his family to you this day. You are our Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals and we trust You to work out all things for our good. You heal through medicine and miracle and we praise You and thank You. May You be glorified in George's life Father, may Your grace and mercy cover George and his loved ones during this time of trial.

Billiefan, I too have been diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (a week ago) and had my first chemo treatment Wednesday; while it may seem like a death sentence, the reality is (in my case) God is using my affliction as a blessing for not only myself, but to bless others, amen. I will pray for George's complete healing and pray that God is glorified in this trial, not in spite of it, but because of it and through it.

John Piper of Desiring God minisitries (www.desiringgod.org) wrote a fantastic article (on the eve of his prostate cancer surgery) called "Don't Waste Your Cancer"; I highly recommend you read it and perhaps send it to George.

George Moody has gone home to be with JESUS


he passed away a few days ago
