solomonsprayer -> Interracial Question for CW Admin (9/2/2008 2:03:01 PM)

Hi Kath,

I was curious about the consolidation process of all of the interracial question types, such as my last thread "What Are Racial Stereotypes You Find Hard to Overcome":

http://forums.crosswalk.com/What_Are_Racial_Stereotypes_You_Find_Hard_to_Overcome%3f/m_3763991/mpage_1/tm.htm#3764237

I do understand that interracial issues in relationships are part of a large umbrella group/category, but I personally felt a bit disserviced by lumping them together like that because of the range of differences between each question/issue as well.

I was just wondering if it can be discussed with you or other great and helpful CW staff?...I did feel my post/thread above was one that was unique and would have benefited from having its own thread.

Perhaps one way that I saw it was that there is a common question related to dealing with depression and it would maybe seem a disservice to lump all depression related threads into a one-stop thread. I honestly have not seems that many interracial or mono-racial type questions until maybe recently, but even then they make up probably 1% of post categories in Relationships (just an estimate).

Would you be able to reconsider the de-aggregating of the interracial questions? If not, it's ok. I just wanted to ask, because it felt like the topics were very wide-ranging at time (though some were definitely very simiilar) and would be great to deal with eaach one in a separate thread to avoid confusion and clutter.

Thanks for your help! [sm=thumbsup.gif]

Hi Solomonsprayer

Thank you for asking your questions in a kind and courteous manner. However, I am not authorized to enter in to a discussion concerning the One Stop threads or the uniqueness of your own thread.

You might have noticed when I closed your thread, I put something in about emailing community@salemwebnetwork.com allowing time for a reply. Fritz is the one to answer your questions and has the authority to reverse a moderator decision.

Thanks!

Kath
