Some thoughts on work: 2Th 3:12 Now we command and exhort those who are such, by our Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread. 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 (11) and that you try earnestly to be quiet and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, (12) so that you may walk becomingly toward those outside, and that you may lack nothing. Col 3:17 And everything, whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him. Colossians 3:23-24 MKJV (23) And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men; (24) knowing that from the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance. For you serve the Lord Christ. If you dislike what you are doing to the point that you can't get over the situation and glorify God in the way in which you perform your duties, you might want to find another means for providing for your family. ... but whatever you do - regardless if you like it or not - do it in such a way that you glorify the Kingdom of God in the way you go about your work. If you happen to find a job that feeds your family and you enjoy doing it and you find you have the opportunity to glorify God through your work, then by all means, try it out. Lord Jesus, guide Liege into walking in the way in which you gave prepared in advance for him. [sm=icon_smile_fish.gif]
