narnia--I just got a running catalog. Check out www.roadrunnersports.com . Lots of selection there. You can see where the straps will sit. There are several that I think might work for you. The Intensity Tank Bra is listed as maximum support, intense exercise, high impact bounce control. I doubt anything would move with that! ellie-mae--scanning posts again... I thought you said that AS insisted that you have Caleb. Um, uh, ??? Then I re-read and saw that you said Cable...

Hi everybody, I wanted to introduce myself, since it's very hard to come to a board where everybody already knows each other well, but yet I'd love to fit in. My name is Julie, I'm 40, we have 4 children, ages 16, 12, 4 and the baby will be one next Friday! I home school our 4 year old, and will homeschool the baby when it's time. We live in Florida, but do not tolerate the heat at all. Hubby is from NY, I'm from PA. We hope very soon to get back to the mountains to live! Every day I thank God for the opportunity to home school, to read his word, to learn from it, and although we are poor, I have to focus on the blessing that it is to stay home with my children and to pass on our love for Christ to our kids. Thanks for having me on your forum!

Hiya Mom24! We all started here the same as you just did. Some of us just started out a long time ago I have 6 children- 18g, 16g, 14b, 12b, 10b, & 9b. We graduated the 18yo this past May and only managed to have both the 10 & 9yo reading last year as well. Teaching reading was my big challenge. I was a natural reader and child #1 was too so when #2 came round to reading I got a nasty shock. 6 kids. I taught all but #4 how to read. All of the 5 learned a differently. I can relate to the Florida sentiments. I was born down in Key West and we lived there with my folks for a short time in Pensacola while my Honey went to school in Dothan Ala. We are in NC now and I love the place God has planted us and can really think of no where else I'd rather be than our 3 acres we call "Point B". We classify ourselves as eclectic-relaxed-schoolers, meaning that we are unschoolers that are not totally against using a curriculum if we fell it is needed.(usually MATH) Glad you stopped in! Keep posting- ask questions- this thread is more or less a no holds barred thread. *wink* just post a line at the top if the post contains something a fella might blush over, we are all women but this is not a womens only folder AND sometimes Ellie reads out loud to her honey and embarassed herself as well as ME others... *wink* ~e

Hi Julie! Welcome to the Forums I'm Lisa (one of several here) and I have two kids. Dd is 12 and Ds is 10. We've been homeschooling since Dd was about 4.5, and haven't stopped since.

We had only one small TV for years as well (not hooked up to outside reception). When we started BJU HomeSat we picked up a couple of extras to help with hsing... and then As also had a TV of her own. The computers have proven much easier than TVs for doing school. We are slowly letting our TVs die out. We will be replacing the main one in the living room, but that it is it right now. We will leave the one in our room for football and basket ball games... and Monk... when I have time to watch. I have to even wean myself off the TV. The story time at bed time was a big part of it. That was the time when I would watch the most. I don't even miss it at that time any more. Howdy to Mom24! Keep posting and it won't be long before we can't imagine NOT having you here.

Hi Julie! I'm Cindy, mom to 5 kiddos 22, 19, 16, 14 & 11 who have always been homeschooled. You'll get to know us before long. A lot of us know each other in real life, but most of us didn't when we first started posting. Someone online told Ash that online friends aren't real friends. Ash said yeah, tell that to Jennifer. We're thinkin' she's about as real as it gets. Does anyone know of a poison certified nurse who wants to work in Cleveland? We've either gotta find a few more people or clone ourselves. We picked up 11 more counties 5 days ago, and the call volume has at least doubled. With creepy crud season on its way, this is not gonna be fun.

The more that Eks person posts, the less I believe a word they say.

ORIGINAL: judii1 Ezri, are you planning on evacuating??? Praying for you and the kids! Not at this point. We are putting up 10+ gallons of water, will fill the two tubs if it looks like it is gonna hit us square. We got the staples that one needs if the power goes out. My sister and her husband are an hour west of us so if the power is out more than 2 days we will go up and use their apartment while they work. They are house parents at a residential care facility and sleep in house during their shift so the apt is empty right now. it will have been over land through Ga and SC before it gets to us so hopefully that will have weakened it a good bit. Ellie has been here so she knows the protected hollow we are in. The winds normally sweep right across the place. It is neat to watch the trees at the top of the hills on the 3 sides of us do the hula and the trees in the bottom barely swaying. The lil creek has been dry more than running the last 2 years and even during the last "big" one never made it out of the bottom. **\ ....................< 255above sea level .....\.......*** /***<230 above sea level .......\.......H/< House 180 above seal level .........\ __/<170 bottom/creek above sea level We will park the cars at the top of the hill- they are the closest to the tree line and I'd not want them squished. We only have 2 trees that could even come close to the house. The only thing out there that might not be happy about tropical storm winds is the pop up camper that we cannot put down. Jerry could but he'd have to cut the cables. He just sighed when i mentioned it and said it was one of those things we just gotta give to God and if something does happen to it there is always the home owners ins. *shrug* ~e

Oh, I'd believe just about any kind of person lived in San Fran, lol, it's this NYC sis that I am not believing! I have found contradictions in her posts, but more importantly, she joined this forum prior to the homeschooling thing, and I can't figure out why she is hanging here. But her stories about her sister have grown wilder and wilder and she seems to be wacky where she's concerned. ETA--I said 'she' but the poster may actually be male.
