I leave for a month and a half and Donna has a baby and Jen your son moved in with your ex? Wow I have missed alot. What else have I missed? Wasn't someone else due to have a baby too? Oh boy! OK, I can NEVER LEAVE AGAIN!

Did you leave before Brian's accident too? That has been the other (besides baby) big event in our life in that time.

Glad you're back, Debbie! And you're right...you can never leave again.

Melissa, I just prayed for you...for peace in the storms.

LOL, that'll teach ya! (and it was Sarah who had the other baby...and Kara...all those ending in As apparently gave birth while you were gone)

Jody took us to dinner at a very nice Mexican restaurant, so now I know TWO decent ones in this area. I tell ya, when you live in a primarily latino area, you really get used to good food, and doing without is cruel punishment.

That's the idea! Good to see you back here Debbie.

My dance team is under spiritual attack. In the past month we have had 4 comments about dress-two of them just this week. Whereas the two years I've been here, we had maybe one to two comments a year about inappropiate dress.

Tonights comment was the worst so far.

At our dedication apparently someone noticed that some of the dancers have too much movement in the chest area. That was three weeks ago so why we are hearing about it now two days before our open house is beyond me, but anyway...

The suggestion was wear slips or sports bra, etc.. And the person who said it made sure to tell not only me but also our dance leader. Now some of us (including me) aren't sure what to do.

I can't wear a shawl around my shoulders for Friday because they want us all in white since photos will be taken and they want all of us to be uniform. I don't have a white shawl-or any for that matter but finding a white one would be very difficult at this time of year.

Yes I do wear loose clothing on top and bottom. No I can't wear a sports bra because I have worn them before and they literally dig into my shoulders leaving red marks and me with a neck ache, and this was when I was much thinner than I am now.

I know that part of this is spiritual attack, but it has really bothered me to the point of tears. It's twice as bad if I have a problem since I am going to be the leader, plus I don't want someone to say something Friday night and have it haunt our dance team again.

I will put on a loose fitting tank top I have that is white under my shirt and hope that helps disguise my womanly detriments

We are also praying that people on Friday will be focused on Him and not watching our chests or mouths to see if anyone is chewing gum, etc... We also prayed for ourselves that we would not let this be a distraction to us and make us self conscious, and take away from our worship of Him.

Just skimming here, but I think I need to read more closely...

misaham--I though you said you were having mood swings because you were in heat.

Jennifer--remind me to never offend you. You have a way of, well, letting your mind be known! I was going to post something, but figured you had all the bases covered.

narnia--not all sports bras are uncomfortable! Enell makes some really nice ones. I believe that's what Oprah wore when she was running. Comfortable, yet keeps the girls well contained. Personally, though, I still buy my bras in the jr's dept.

LOL! He is the one that I got that phrase from. I don't listen to comedians on my own, but we were at some relatives' house and they loved him and wanted to watch him with us. I don't remember anything else except for that phrase.
Ellie - Yeah, he's pretty funny!! My kids love to watch Bananas & he's been on there! I always thought ds would be a stand up comedian some day & would tell everyone that he developed his best material while he was supposed to be doing his Math!

Sarah - HOW EXCITING!! Dh has had a hard time getting some doctors to extend his profiles, because they didn't want to "hurt his career" or "get him med boarded". He can retire at any time, so those things just don't really matter to him!! Getting the military docs to understand that seems to be hard! I'll be praying that Paul is able to crosstrain to Chaplain's assistant!

Melissa - praying you have a good day today! Praying for the house to sell & all the other issues. I think you need to take a bubble bath tonight!!

CONGRATS Kara - I wasn't sure when you were due!! He's adorable!

Narnia - praying for your dance team!

Well, I don't have anything ready for school today - but we are going to do some anyway!!!

I took my ring in to have it's semi-annual cleaning/inspection last night & 2 of the diamonds were loose! Since we have the warranty, they sent it in to have them tightened. I'll get it back next week - my finger feels naked w/o it!

Hello everyone! What a CUTIE PIE baby you've got there Kara!

I am feeling good mentally today!! We've been starting our day with Proverbs and it has been such a blessing!

Our dishwasher is not getting the dishes clean again . I just paid 60 dollars to have someone come and unplug it about 2 months ago. I think it is the same problem. It is a shame that it is a new dishwasher and my kids keep plugging it. They are going to wash for a week by hand now.

Noah doesn't talk very clear, he jabbers most of the time. BUT, I think he picked up the word "idiot" . I sure hope he doesn't learn to say this clear!

Mine has a grinder in it for food particles. It is awesome. One of the few things that I will miss about this house (LOL). We are lazy and don't pre-rinse the dishes (why pre-wash them?).

You must be talking about the sister homeschooling thread.

I am nervous about my job-search review. I don't have the supporting documentation that I am used to having this time.

Nate might have the day off today. I hope he does, actually. He's still in bed.

I have still not prepared for my class on Sunday--everything else keeps getting in the way!

Jennifer--Uh, yah, that one...

My washer has done it again! I went down to the basement to switch loads, only to discover taht the washer filled, then just sat there. So, I had to pump all the water our--thank goodness for the pump we had to pump water out of our back yard! Then, it has to be "thumped" (think setting the self adjusting legs). Usually, that will get it working again. I hope so because the skirt I was going to wear to work this afternoon is in that load! The washer is 21yrs old and has made 3 moves...

I was so hoping I would be able to take my award into work this afternoon. One resident knows I race and is always asking for details. Well, this last race I did I finished so far my projected time that I didn't even stop by the awards tent. I found out the next day that I had placed in my age group! They were supposed to send the award to me. The mail is here, but it didn't come today.

My washer will fill and sit if I turn the knob to the start mark instead of just past it.

I prayed as I read ladies- (((HUGS)))

Jerry left this morning for hos two week vacation in the sand on the other side of the world. So far so good. I have seen a few things I would have packed for him- Like the small LED flashlight that he uses when he reads in bed. but then maybe he is not planning on reading in bed-

They fly out of Atlanta this evening... Please pray for safe travel what with all the hurricanes in the Atlantic right now.

Ez, he'll realize those things will make life nicer, and he will take them next time. It'll be ok for two weeks. I know you want to take care of him and you feel like you can't. That must be so difficult

That may be the case, but since we were only told last night about this problem, I have no way of getting one by tomorrow evening. It's not like they have them in any normal store. Apparently I would need this before tomorrow night, and there is no way I can do that.

I also have to cook 50 pieces of chicken for tomorrow night so after we finish school, I need to go to the grocery store and get seasoning and a couple of those tin foil roaster pans and start preparing for tomorrow.

Thanks for praying Ez. Praying for you too.

ELLIE- there are foundation garments mentioned in this post!

Narnia- what about doing what the teeney boppers do on the outside of their clothes? If you have a snug tank top you can grab the bit in the front center and twist it til it is even snugger(binding?) then wrap a ponytail holder around the twisted bit to hold it and tuck the tail you twisted up under your breasts OR between them or how ever it is comfy. I have seen teens do this twisting it in back as well as in front. it is to accentuate for them but I believe if you had a decent tank that could be twisted to near binding over your current foundation garments it might be a quick fix.

Another fix might be to find a Tankini swim top on sale that is a size smaller than you need. I know the color might be hard to find but you could wear a white tank OVER it. Better than being Jiggly.

Now I am going to give my Lane Bryant's Cacique undergarments Praise. I have done the Wal-Mart Bra's for YEARS. I am not huge (42 D) I never thought I needed that much support. My sister is in the triple digits on the letter sizes. She gets her bras at Lane Bryant. When we get set tto go to the officers ball and I needed a "Plunge" bra that'd hold up all night and not kill me my sister said LANE BRYANT! Now they are padded- LOL I call them MOLDED- But they are so comfy! You can watch and get them buy 1 et one free a few times a year or buy one get one 50% off as well if you don't need one now but they really are worth their weight in GOLD.

School is going much better today. My head feels better. I am still on edge though. I couldn't get speech scheduled until October and still couldn't get them for the days that we wanted. I need to figure out how to schedule piano lessons this year. The Dr is supposed to call back about Sarah. I am hoping that she will just call in a prescription instead of making me bring her in. Rebekah has a cold and is running a low grade temp. Caleb as a sore stuffy nose. School is getting done though.

I have been weening the kids off from TV. It is working very smoothly. Rebekah didn't even ask to watch TV. she listened to books on CD when she went to take her nap! Yeah! Nobody else missed the TV either! YEah!!!!!

My kids are listening to a "Between The Lions" cd's right now (Chic-fil-A special... )...before that they were dancing to praise and worship music. They recently found out they can listen to music through the dvd player, so they love doing that now...lol

((((ezri))))

narnia--there are options out there. While you might not find something in time for this event, keep looking. I have a couple sports bras that have straps that sit too close to my neck and aren't as comfortable. I also have several that are "compression" with traditional straps that fit much better. I have seen women out running that are rather blessed, yet nothing moves when they run. So it is possible!!!

My washer didn't "reset". So I had to pump it out again. Then rinse stuff in the kitchen sink, wring out, then hang out to dry. I was going to hang out to dry anyway. Hopefully my skirt will dry in time!

LOL! Sarah, that is so cute. We didn't used to have the TV connected to anything but VCR/DVD player. When we moved here AS insisted on having Cable so we do. The problem has been that it is like a camel getting into the tent. That camel has really made itself at home here and even makes itself the center of attention. Nothing like trying to scooch around a smelly camel that spits. Sure it has it's cute moments, but... Anyway, the camel has been successfully moved into AS room with only a little nose in our room now. I am happy.

Thanks Ez. I don't have any snug fitting tank tops, but I can still try to do the twisting thing with the loose camisole top I do have. I am smaller than you, but still endowed.

And His, I do intend to look for something that is better. I won't have it for tomorrow though and I really hate the thought of someone saying something about it again. Although the fact that they did not say something until last night is not my problem. Poor planning on their part does not necessitate an emergency on my part.
