Granolagirl, i wanted to tell you too that your dr is not correct. the statistics are roughly 1 in 350 births at age 35 as opposed to 1 in 750 at age 30. What the drs dont always tell you is the actual bigger picture which is this: the likelihood of having a downs baby at age 30 is .1% so 99.9% of women will have HEALTHY babies, at 35 the odds only go up to .4% so 99.6% of the women have "normal" babies. Theres a great website by physicians for life google it! It really encouraged me so much. Blessings to ya!!

Thanks, Trixie! I will be so glad to get out of the nausea stage though.
Like I said, I think they try to scare you into taking all those tests.

P.S. I know this is off topic but since you mentioned Google I want to let everyone know that there is a website called GoodSearch that will donate money to your favorite charity every time you search for something. It's powered by Yahoo! So it works well and now I use it for everything.

just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has replied. i am feeling so excited and encouraged about getting pregnant again!! My husband is looking at baby stuff in catalogs and getting excited!! It;s such an awesome time and such a blessing to be on this journey. Just wanted to send my hellos and thanks to all the other moms on this thread. love, trixie
