mommyto1 -> RE: Is your pay late on holidays? (8/31/2008 9:43:22 PM)

In my state, it is a law that the employer must pay within 5 days of the end of the pay period. Not long ago there was an error on my time card that, according to company policy, would have caused me to wait 2 weeks for that check to be paid. Their "rule" was that if all the "i's" aren't dotted and all the "t's" crossed (so to speak), then the employee would have to be paid on the next pay day. A quick call to the Employment Standards Division of the State Department of Labor got me paid on time. I think it was the part where my supervisor said, "Them's the rules." that made me mad. Sorry, but "them's not the rules in my state." Maybe if you're always paid late, you should make a similar call.
