found this paraphrase in my computer bible

Luke 10:21 - 24 (MSNT) 21On that same occasion Jesus was filled by the Holy Spirit with rapturous joy. “I give Thee fervent thanks,” He exclaimed, “O Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, that Thou hast hidden these things from sages and men of understanding, and hast revealed them to babes. Yes, Father, for such has been Thy gracious will. 22All things are delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is but the Father, nor who the Father is but the Son, and he to whom the Son may choose to reveal Him.” 23And He turned towards His disciples and said to them apart, “Blessed are the eyes which see what you see! 24For I tell you that many Prophets and kings have desired to see the things you see, and have not seen them, and to hear the things you hear, and have not heard them.”

Oooh ooh ohhh, very true indeed. The unmatched joy of communing with God in complete purity of mind, body and soul.

You look at guys in the military or a firehouse or on some other kind of crew, where they work together and get rowdy together - not necessarily sinful, but just loud, raucous, and boisterous. For me, that's fun and that's how friends interact. However, most Christian guys I've met are really safe, timid and reserved. Those who aren't timid act that way anyways, because everyone else does.

SO -- what can we do to change this culture? Leon Podles, a Roman Catholic scholar, wrote about the feminization of Christianity, and how frequently the rigid, constipated, "church lady" culture drives men away from Christ. The American revivalism of Charles Finney was moralistic, not Christian, in its primary focus -- and largely aimed at reining in manly exuberance.

One suggestion -- men respond well to intellectual stimulation, vigorous conversation, free-ranging discussions, about real-world issues.

I sometimes experience that when enjoying marital bliss with my wife. Profound gratitude to the Maker of every good and perfect gift, including physical intimacy with a covenant wife.

I am not trying to make light of your belief in the current status of virtual Christian male castration, but...
