Please, don't take offense. It appears from your posts that you are relatively new to the faith. So, take what I say as things to think about and not accusations. How would you know if Adonai was there? What made that night different from all other nights and all the other parties celebrated by those who do not acknowledge Adonai?

The difference is that where two or more are gathered...

Christian couples have been known to attend the most offensive of activities, does that mean that those activities were then glorfying to Adonai?

I do believe that the rest of the scripture says "in my name" As in, where two are more are gathered IN MY NAME. Theres a difference between being gathered and being gathered in Gods name.

And to continue Rami's point, just because it's on Halloween does not mean that it cannot be in God's name.

So why even acknowledge it as in any way associated with halloween?

I agree. All Hallow's Eve...church holiday...I don't see the problem.

I was not aware you were all catholic. It is surprising that we could go so long with the primary argument being that all days are the same, only to now find out that this day has special religious significance. So I can be clear, what is the argument? We should not be concerned because all days are the same. or We should see november 1 as having special significance and by association the evening before also.

Me too. And, any other day from January 1 through December 31. They are all days the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be exceedingly glad in them.

Sorry, that's from Abib 1 to Abib 1.

That does make it special and precious.

Glad God chose to give you to the world that day.

We went to the dr's office on halloween and everyone was dressed in costume. I guess it was ok and cute and all, but I didn't think it was very professional. Maybe at a pediatricians office or something but not an ENT. Maybe I'm just an old crab.

It's my daughter's birthday also. The first time I put out a sign saying I didn't recognize the day as special, I had to hurry up and change it to read except as my daughter's birthday.

Blue, I am totally missing what you are trying to say. Sorry. Will you reword it for me?

Why did you put out a sign? Why did you have to alter it? The only thing I did get is it's your dear daughter's birthday too.

Now I'm confused.

Do I pray to "saint kath" or "saint Obama?"

Oops, sorry. Forgot he's the mess-iyah

You made me laugh.

I can't help you, so you'd best keep praying to the Almighty God.

I don't want to think about Obama.
