Romans 1:18 says that: "The wrath of God is revealed from heaven." The commentaries I've consulted indicate this is a constant action, meaning, even right now His wrath is revealed. My question is, in what way is it being revealed? One commentary said that it is being revealed primarily by His backing away, by letting people have their own way. Romans talks a lot about God giving them over, meaning, let them sin and find out the results of that sin. I mean, if you look at the news, it is clear that He is allowing a lot of bad stuff happen. What do you think? C

Ro:6:23: For the wages of sin is death; Yes! God backs away as well as allows the consequences of sin and AIDS is a very good example in our day. 2Ch:7:14: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. How much of this is going on?

Yes ... God is backing away. Why? Because we told Him so. And being a gentleman He is doing as we say. We're shutting out God from our lives in pursuit of material riches on this earth. Many families grow up without God in the home. Many haven't even held a Bible, never mind read it. Christianity is not taught in schools as it used to be. The Lord's name is taken in vain and Christianity is often ridiculed in the media and TV. Many churches and their hierarchies teach un-scriptural Christianity, watered down and altered to suit the lifestyles and pockets of their congregations. Our role models, be they celebrities, politicians, sports personalities or whatever often behave in ways that are far from Christian. Need I go on .... Watching all this from above; God backs off for a while and let's us get on with it.

It is revealed in those who have exchanged the truth of God for a lie. They know enough of God's truth to know what is right, and yet they persist in doing wrong, and further they approve and encourage others to do the same. God gives them over to the sinfulness of their hearts, which results in every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. Gods wrath is revealed when He draws back His love. To those who choose darkness over the light, there is an ever decreasing amount of light with which to see the truth; and there is real danger in them being encompassed by everlasting darkness, from which they can never escape. yes, that is what i heard the lord tell me years ago while on my way to church..............and then i had a vision, and boy was i crying like a baby...............i made him so angry with me, but at the same time, im angry at him to for allowing all of the enemies schemes to come into my life, and im even more angry because im getting tired of hearing about how many Christians have turned away from him in anger and started to go down a destructive path, and God in his mercy sought them out and changed their hearts even though their hearts were hardened towards God, and after all of the pain and suffering i went through, to even try to get closer to him, was a wash out because a former friend, so called christian, abused me spiritually and claiming to still have the love of God and that he is forgiven, but i will never be forgiven, well, God never defeated that lie in my life, and he actually let me go through this pain and suffering until this man cut me down until i felt like there was no turning back to God, and i also know that God will shew mercy on whomever he wants........but of course, im in the wrong as always, he might love me, but he sure let me know where im going...........SO MY QUESTION IS....DID JESUS REALLY DIE FOR ME? AND EVEN AFTER BACK SLIDING......DID HE EVER WANT TO REVEAL HIMSELF TO ME, EVEN THOUGH I SPENT SO MUCH TIME LIVING ALONE AND BEING IN THE WORD FOR FOUR YEARS, HAS HE NOW TURNED HIS BACK ON ME AND SAID BYE BYE?

You have had a terrible experience at the hands of wicked men. But it was at the hands of wicked men, not God. God no more forces us to be good, than He forces others to be bad. It is the choice we all have to make. There are evil people in the world, and evil people do evil things. And such were we. Who of us can cast the first stone? Who of us is not guilty of not doing to others what we would have them do to us? No. God has not turned His back on you. It is us that turn our back on Him. And if we continue in that, He will give us what we want, and He will allow us to go our own way. You cannot control how others treat you, but you can control how you respond to it. You can either learn from your experience and use it to be a blessing to others, or you can let bitterness control your thoughts and actions. The choice is yours. Those who have wronged you need Jesus just as much as you and I. We all unworthy and in need of the same saving grace. You are angry with God. Tell Him. He can take it. It will not be a surprise to Him. In fact, He is waiting for you to come to Him in truth, so that He can work through it with you. I am praying for you. Bless you. Peace

Jesus died for you, your sin is paid for and God's righeous anger over you is paid for. It's propitiated. WOW! If you feel that God is still angry with you, that is not coming from God, because He died so that wouldn't happen. Scripture is very clear about it. You were badly hurt. (((Hugs))) I am so sorry that happened to you. The person who said you are not forgiven is in error, because God says He calls us and no one can take us out of His hand. This person is not more authoratative than God, and they lied. God didn't lie. He has called you to Himself or you would never have come to Him in the first place, and your heart wouldn't be churning over the idea of losing His love and salvation. Only saved people care about being saved. Look in your Bible at James 1:2-4, and 1 Pet. 1:6-9. God is writing to you to rejoice, that these trials are for making you mature and showing your salvation. He tells us to rejoice in the bad things! Weird, huh. But if God is moving in your life for your good even through the bad things, then He is in control and the end is great for you. So in faith, you can start jumping up and down in joy now! He is doing something wonderful in you! Because you are His! God chastises us as sons, and the person who is not chastised doesn't belong to a father. Read Hebrews 12: 3-11: 3 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. 4 You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. 5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: � My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; 6 For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.�[a] 7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8 But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. It proves you are His! And it ends in joy. Take heart, Christian, this is for you. Others may sin against you and hurt you, and God is orchestrating everything because you belong to Him and He is shaping you for good. No. He is proving you belong to Him. He loves you. He is shaping you because you are a son (don't freak out if you are a woman - sons inherit everything and you are a son no matter what gender you are. And remember, the guy Christians have to deal with being the Bride of Christ[:D] It's just pictures God gave us to help us understand). Read these verses again, lift up your head and rejoice. Laugh that God has saved you and isn't ignoring you. Believe what He has written to you in His love letter, the Bible. It's all good news! The person who hurt you, if they are Christians, they are forgiven. You forgive them, too, OK? Jesus' blood was for them as well, and Jesus forgave them. Talk to them if you can, and talk to God if they are gone. They might not even get it now, but they will eventually because God is working in them, too. If they aren't Christians, part of their judgement at God's feet will be the hurt they did to you, and they won't get away with it. Rejoice, Christian - you are loved and you are being shaped into the image of God's Son! See Romans 8:28 and don't forget the "why" that is told us in verse 29. Laugh and dance! It's great news, and nothing can take it away from you! (((Hugs))), dear heart. I am praying for you today.

he twisted the word of God, and told me Jesus came in the spirit when i said he came in the flesh, i was speaking to him about God and I warned him not to change Gods word, don't know why that came out, but it did, he even told me Jesus said I had to ##### with him and that I had to obey, and he also tried using scripture on me, but hey, that's okay because God is still with him and forgives him, well i forgave him to until he cut me down, after trying to help him out and still trying to be a friend, sure, sorry I sound a bit contrite, but, he is a liar, my former friend is a liar, I blessed him every morning, i preached to him, and he still wanted nothing more than to curse me, and get me away from the word of God, sure God forgives him, but he should also forgive me as well, and i neve went out of my way to deceive anyone or even twist the word of God on anyone, my heart certainly aches, even for my enemies..........

What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had afore prepared unto glory.� (Romans.9:21-23) �Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them.� (Ephesians.5:6,7) Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things� sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience.� (Colossians.3:5,6)

They take God out of government then blame Him for everything that goes wrong and the terrorist attacks. Its pathetic.

Not just as a nation, but as individuals as well.
