Which I think answers the OP pretty definitively; there are no bad animals, only those which are poorly cooked.

That James reference is sketchy at best. And your question Why would aggressiveness in animals need to exist in such perfection? may sound logical but lacks scriptural support.

How could Adam even wonder among the beasts of the field if they weren't domesticized? He was given dominion over them.

We still have dominion over them, but I am for sure not going to walk up to a grizzly bear and hug it.

I'll give you $5.00 if you try it.

(NOTE: Please video tape the attempt and post it on YouTube as I don't wanna actually be there in person. I'll mail you a check for the money.... promise.)

(DISCLAIMER: YES, I'M JOKING! DO NOT TRY AND HUG "YOGI!")

Wow, so many viewpoints and extra commentaries that my head hurts reading my own thread.

What I do not completely believe so far is that the current carnivorous and "bad" state of animals was part of original, pre-Fall creation. Some have pointed out that the Bible says the original animals were created to be vegetarians and that sometime after the Fall they started eating meat (each other). I seem to believe this makes the most sense. It would make sense that animals were originally created to keep us from being bored and for us to use and were good. If you look at why God created animals, wasn't it because He didn't think Adam should be alone?...And then when Adam was still not satisfied with hanging out with the squirrels and trees, etc. all day, then God created woman. ...But essentially, I was of the understanding that animals were created good and did not harm each other and were not the type of ferocious monsters and predators we see today...they were created to keep Adam company and be used no?

I do understand that some characteristics of animals are subjective in terms of whether they are good/bad, mean/nice, etc... For example, a lion's roar and physical strength are not bad, because they reflect God's power. ...But that in the post-Fall world, these animals became predator and prey, using their chracteristics to harm each other and humans....Is this not accurate in understanding how they went from being "good" creations to "bad" ones after the Fall?
