ORIGINAL: solomonsprayer Has anyone ever felt that they may be spending too much time on the internet and that it has somehow become addicting? ...I'm not speaking of things like pornography or gaming or downloading music/videos, etc. per se, but just literally being online (for whatever purposes) too much. How many hours per day/week do you spend on the internet and do you ever feel it gets out of hand and hard to control? [:)] ever felt online time is too lengthy? Sure. that it is an addiction? no How many hours a day and how many days per week? have not measured it is my time online getting out of control? no, I don't own a Blackberry, or an iPhone, or a pocket PC with connectivity. In being in the setting of looking for a job, I'm at times feeling like I'm tired of spending so much time on this effort, and haven't I thought about myself enough for one day already? That's another thing about new ways to spend time in your life. Something that I am constantly having to home in on is loving others as I love myself. More and more I'm becoming convinced that my testimony to others of God's love for me can be greatly done away with if I appear as a survivor from a desert crossing gone bad, or not even half that roughed up. So there's part of me that wants to just drop job-hunting altogether for a while and spend a lot more time on myself. If your time online is yours, and if you believe to be beneficial to you, even to increase your thinking about sharing Christ with someone of unknown quantity of knowledge of Jesus Christ, then it sounds like a good habit to have. But if you are online without purpose, be careful you keep that to yourself, because it will haul you in and keep you... and there's stuff out there that only wants access to your hard drive, where it can ruin everything, just as it was designed to do. Thanks for the posers, OneJohn410
