Does your church use church management software (CMS)? If so, which product? If you are a user, are you happy with it? Easy to use? Help/training, etc. Tell me more.

There seem to be hundreds of products and add-on modules. I've seen the ads, researched a great deal, and tested a few. I'd like some honest feedback from those who are already using something.

I've used Membership Plus/Money Counts many years ago, and was very happy with it. Power Church is another one that is similar, I've looked at it on the computer at our former church, seems to be really similar to Membership Plus/Money Counts.

We use Logos and really like it. There are options for just about anything you could want (membership, attendance - including barcode check-in, stewardship, event registration tracking, facilities scheduler, accounting, online giving, electronic deposits for payroll, cass certification ability, etc, are what we utilize). You purchase what you want. We've always received good customer service and they have training to fit just about any schedule or any budget (from webcasts to personal training to conferences). The software all works together which saves a lot of time as well. You don't have to try to get 5 different softwares to work together which never seems to work very well.

I also like the fact that they are always getting more options and working at improving their capabilities.

I'm not a good person to ask regarding ease of use because I'm a bit of a computer geek, but new employees seem to pick up on it quickly. The hardest thing is that there are so many options, most of our staff have no idea how much it can do and we really don't utilize it like we could/should.

We used to use Powerchurch but we were really too big of a church for it and the accounting side of it stank. Of course, that was a number of years ago, so things could be better now.

In one church I served in we used Shelby for a while, but changed to ACS I believe. My current church is using ACS. I guess it's good; I don't ever mess with it.

We're Shelby all over. It takes some adjustment to using, but I'm of the mind that ANY database system does.
