A very good first leg. I kinda hated to see the hippie couple leave. I think they would have been really interesting to watch.

The elderly folks held out so well in the last AR, that I learned not to dismiss them too early. I thought they would hold out for at least another leg & that the guys who did the steps would be eliminated.

I think the whiney fellow's girlfriend was doing the right thing by mixing with the other groups. You never know who will help you out of a sticky situation. He should be glad that she's a sociable person.

There was one team that was griping because another team didn't acknowledge them - Get a life!!!!!

We were away for the weekend, set up the VCR to tape but a broken limb knocked out power for our neighborhood while we were gone - so no show to watch when we got back.

Can someone post a recap?

Thanks,

I set the DVR to tape it last night. It stopped recording before the show ended. I haven't checked yet but I suspect the previous show ran over time again. That only happens with the Amazing Race. I'll have to program the recording to compensate. Fortunately, I got to see the end of the show because we got home in time to see what wasn't recorded. Now I'll have to go back and watch the beginning. I'm not at all familiar yet with the players.

Laura, it is because the football games run over and then everything on the network is off for the rest of the night. Last night it was about 25 minutes. When you set the DVR set it for not only the Amazing Race but whatever show comes on right after (for us it is Cold Case) then you get it if the game runs over.

The Whiney guy is so annoying. We were hoping they would be eliminated especially when they missed where the taxi's were.

The lady from the Seperated Couple really needed to let it go that she "got the plane switched".

Finally, the girls "misreading" the clues not once but twice was sad.

If you have a tivo you can set it to start and end recording if you know it is delayed but yes football delays 60 minutes which then delays amazing race. However I love Cold case so I watch that.

Some of these couples are really annoying.

I was cracking up. Did those girls not realize that no one else was looking for the container, and a shipping container is HUGE!

Those girls digging.....just super dumb. I was hoping they will be eliminated since they just don't know how to read the clues and funny thing is that they did it twice.
The ones who were eliminated last night....for some reason, I just could not remember them from the previous week. I do like the 2 older guys though...they're quite smart and I also like the Mom and her son.

I like the two older guys too. I am not caring for the couple that are newly dating for some reason. I thought it was funny when they went looking for the taxis when they were parked right up the hill. Do people not know they should read all the clues before just taking off?

I finally learned after last season when I my tivo would run out because of the the football games to set the tivo to go over at least 30 minutes I might make it longer because it seems to just barely have enough time.

I am hoping the "Blondes" or the "divorcees" go next. They both are uber annoying.

I missed it too, because of the over run of 60 min PLUS a lot of interference or something, like it kept skipping and stalling! Does cbs.com play full episodes?

For all of you who missed the show, CBS usually has a recap on their website. I learned from the last season to set my VCR to record for an extra 45 minutes because of the inevitable overtime of the football shows. However, I'll be home for the next two Sundays Godwilling, so I won't have to worry about taping it.

I'm glad that couple got eliminated because the man had negative things to say about the city. At least the woman admitted that their poverty made her appreciate what she had at home. In any case the man in that couple was just upset because he made the choice to push their taxi instead of just getting a new one.

I totally agree. She needed to let it go & get a life. She was super annoying with it. And I think there were other hidden factors that accounted for the plane switch.

What wrestling? I don't remember seeing any wrestling. That one team went home (can't remember the names) 2 guys, they went home on a tech-didn't read directions, they took a taxi and had 30 min penalty.

When they dressed up in those ridiculous costumes and had to wrestle those women? That was the best!

It was because there were rocks on the bottom to break the kiwis up.

And they got to meet Phil's dad!
